The reason why Chris is so buff is the beatdown he got in Code Veronica. His nemesis came back to life as a inhumanly strong superfast monster with cool glowing eyes. I would hit the gym like a madman too, just to get any conceivable edge. I mean, Weskers strong AF now, but he doesn't weigh more, probably, so I can still lift him and throw him if I am strong enough.
@jeremy81898 ай бұрын
You might be a bio engineered super vaguely human monster...... but do you even lift? 😅 💪

Is he the same weight? I assumed there was some sorta biomass shinanigans making them more dense; like that explosion of flesh whenever any of them transform has to be bundled in there somewhere. I know rapid mutation is the reason; but rapid mutation still would need flesh and energy or else it would just instantly drain and kill you.

I was saying the last sentence from a conceivable Chris PoW. But they are each others nemesis after Code Veronica. On one side theres the guy who blames the other for ruining his plans with the tyrant in re 1 and basically leaving him in isolation with no leverage to join a competitor of umbrela. And on the other is the dude who rightfuly so blames the other for murdering like 85% of their outfit for an experiment, trying to kill him, trying to kill his sister, leaving him to fight a superpowered monster chick and giving him a memoeable beatdown before leaving. This is generalised, but all of this happened before re5 so the whole nemesis thing is there already.

My take is whoever dislikes RE5 never played the co-op. This is legitimately one of the best co-op games I've ever played, because, despite it being rather simplistic, it has been designed very well around the idea of two players interracting with each other Tag team combos, assists and saves, occasional splitting up the players, bosses designed for two players (for example, Wesker and the first Ouroboros encounter) Despite being a massive introvert, I absolutely love co-op games. 2-player story mode ones especially, like RE5 and Clandestine. It gives you this feeling of camaraderie. Like you are back-to-back with someone you can trust will cover and assist you when it matters the most. And, well... My go-to game when I really want to feel that way is Resident Evil 5

The worst part of that is the coop mode... they never ever told the player that Sheva's hanging on moment was rhythm based.... not button mash. It's the ONLY time in the game where that is the case and they reuse the mash prompt. If you mashed the buttons she falls and you game over. So the the boulder puncher need to get thru that segment as fast as humanly possible to avoid it. Needless to say, people got to see a whole hell of a lot of boulder punching in coop.

Im a 31-year-old man and it was my first RE game. The thing is, back in the day, my family couldn't afford playstation as couldn't many people in Russia( not to mention buying pc). So i basically grew up playing sega/dendy, or rather their "pirate" versions. I remember falling in love with two first RE movies( had no idea those were based on a game series). Later on, i learned about the game series itself, but unfortunately had no opportunity to try those all the same. Years later, i saw RE5 being released and thought to myself "Damn, i must try it one day", also was a huge fan of zombie genre. At last, by RE6 release, i bought xbox 360 and, first of all, i got 5th and 6th parts. Damn,i was highly pleased to play through those games, and, since i wasn't familiar with the classic parts, i found RE6 pretty good. Idk, but there were several story companies which took me a decent amount of time to beat. In short, back then, i was more than satisfied with RE6.

The main criticism I have besides the coop thing, is the inventory system because it’s a straight up down grade from an assortment of space and management to literally 9 squares, and I pray to god the inventory system in the RE5R is a straight copy and paste of RE4R.
@DownVolt8 ай бұрын
Not possible if it's a co-op game RE5's inventory is straight up a version of RE1's inventory but designed for co-op. You can't afford to spend too much time navigating in it so they made it so that you can equip anything in less than a second with the right shortcuts, it's a pleasure to use when you're used to it. It's one of the reasons why Mercenaries mode is so loved RE4R's inventory is also one of the reasons why Mercenaries mode couldn't be co-op, because they had to change the inventory to do so

I played through this game with a buddy about 6 or 7 times back in the day and had an absolute blast every time. Still to this day we say "7 minutes" the way Wesker does in his boss fight. We replayed it a few years ago and it was awesome. I'd love to get a remake with co op intact. Definitely underrated in the series.

RE5 is definitely my favorite in the series because it felt like a much faster paced RE4 with co-op, replayable chapters and endless hours of fun. Spent over 200 hours helping random people online back on the PS3. Got the platinum trophy for the PS3, PS4 and probably would have gotten it 2 more times if the Switch and PC ports had them too.

I still play it on Series X but I wouldn't purchase a remake though, they would censor the mess out of it, incluing those unlockable outfits. Also, no need for the clickbait, it's not underappreciated, it's one of the best selling games in the series.

Gotta agree, I hate that they haven't brought back Sheva since this game. She's a great character and it's weird they never even threw her a mention after this. I like this game a lot, and it's a shame people often regard it so poorly nowadays. For someone like me who has been a fan of the series since I first played the original games (starting with 2 and then going back to 1) it's pretty lame. Yes they went in a more action oriented approach, but it's still a great game. It DOES stray a bit too far from the horror the series was created to be, but it wasn't as far out as RE6 got. They pulled it back with Revelations, but Revelations feels VERY much like RE5! And that was the series trying to return to its horror roots. Bring back Sheva! She's great.

It was a good game for co-op challenge runs. I did a fresh start professional run with someone where we weren't allowed to use the shop for anything. We could only use the guns we found the way we found them. The first time we ran out of ammo in the final Wesker fight and gave up after trying to knife him for hours. We tried again from the beginning stock piling ammo and not touching it no matter what. We got it. Both of us had almost nothing left. Was one of the most fun challenge runs I've ever done. Had to do the throat slit melee on every enemy.

Stun Rod for 99.9% of all your needs. Sniper Rifle for the rest! Don't waste reload upgrades until the weapon is out of ammo as it will give you a free refill. Don't freak out about missing stuff, get it in NG+ and if you are ever lost and not sure where Sheva's chest is.... hold the partner finder button.

Wesker honestly is an amazing villain being introduced as the big bad in 1 to slowly being the one behind the scenes to run into him again as chris and hes even more of a monster than before metaphorically and literally and the fact he taunts chris with jill and the 7 minute line is so good cause he couldnt care about him only cared about him being foiled in 1 but yeah its so good and i love it just being amazing by the end where he is so scary by how inhumane he is

I don't know where the idea that RE5 is underappreciated or disliked comes from. Everyone that reviews it says that but from what I know RE5 is pretty well liked by many people. The only real complaints I've seen about it were early on when people were upset that it was more of an action game than a survival horror game.
