Is this Ava's first step towards that plan! We know evil Esme will not be in that jail cell for long (as the writers favor her and insist on treating her with kids glove for her heinous crimes), but what is beautiful about this moment is not only the small act of justice for Trina (when all is said and done, I want full and complete justice and vindication for Trina, Joss and Cam against the evil one), but the fact that Ava's action will trigger evil Esme's anger not only against her, but against stupid Laura who talked her into turning herself in. When evil Esme is angry, she reverts back to the real psychopath that she is. I have a feeling that part of Ava's plan is to push evil Esme's button and force her to make a mistake or come after her. At this point, whatever revenge evil Esme take out on Laura will be just dessert for Laura for her voluntary blindness when it comes to this psychopath. Today my admiration for Ava went straight off the chart. Ava you made my day. Go ahead with your bad self. Long Live Sprina.

So no, Ava's not a hypocrite. In fact, she'll say right off the bat who she is and what she's done. And as far as her actions against Nicholas, he would have to want to press charges; but, clearly he feels what she did, and what he did to her as an equal exchange. The only thing I would hold Ava's feet to the fire about is giving Spencer that fake confession by Nicholas to weaponize him against his dad(something else Nicholas already knows which is water under the bridge) and knowing she was responsible for what happened to Nicholas and not saying anything. Her actions had a negative impact on Sprina and nearly cost them their relationship.

Ooo this scene was so satisfying on SO many accounts. And yes I know that Ava has many faults but today.... Firstly, Auntie Ava will ALWAYS come through for her baby Trina. She wants justice for her (and Anabelle's other victims). She knows that at the end of the day, regardless of whether she has her memories or not, she's not a good person. There are so many examples but I come back to a recent one- you "tried" all of one time to apologize for your actions and Trina told you she was in love and wanted a future with Spencer. And the second Trina didn't fall at your feet with an "I forgive you", you immediately continued to try to steal a man that is clearly in love with Trina! Unlike Spencer who keeps trying every day to make things right for the people, he's hurt until he actually gains forgiveness and trust. Actual growth vs perceived growth. Secondly, I love that Laura is also getting a taste of her own dumb medicine! I dislike how clueless they're making Laura, but Ava is there to remind her that she's not the one. She selfishly came to Ava last year around this time to ask for Ava's help to talk sense into Nikolas when she was heartbroken over their upcoming divorce. Ava said, "Not this time lady". Laura is nuts to think that absolutely NOTHING would happen if she confessed, or did she think she could use being The Mayor, to get her off the hook. That B threw a brick into the window!! The fact that both she and Anabelle thought she would get a "free pass" shows both of their privilege. But Ava cleared the room with that thought! Ava is the type of loved one and Ally that goes the distance for the ones she cares about. I also love any time that Dante has to interact with Ava!!! He knows that she's always going to be overdramatic just by his eye rolls and posture lol!!! But his look before she walked out was "well, she's got a point". And that "Did you not hear me"...was so...skin folk lol IYKYK!!!

Trina also told Esme that she loved Spencer and wanted a life with him. Spencer was spending too much time with Ace and her and not enough time in their relationship. She also told Esme we will never be friends and she will never forget what she did to her, Joss & Cameron. That one conversation with Trina ended Esme's fairytale of getting back with Spencer, she knew that Trina had captured his heart, and she could not compete with her. The truth hit Esme like a ton of bricks and did not like what Trina was saying.

Do you think I'm making up some hypothetical scenario and not commenting on the CURRENT predicament she has found herself in? She made herself Esme's champion and defender, she pushed Esme to go to the cops which has now backfired and she pushed Spencer away from being Ace's guardian and now Spencer's moving abroad with his girlfriend. That baby should be and *will* be Laura and Kevin's (who is Ace's UNCLE btw) sole responsibility. Yes, Esme needed to recover those memories, but they are back, and she still is lying, that is what I am talking about. She still will not tell the truth, but I think Kevin her uncle should have seen signs. He checked her out 1 time and Austin checked her out and also Ace. Esme needed therapy to get to the root of things in her mind. This is where GH dropped the ball on Esme, better writers should have been brought in. Ace is very lucky because for months Spencer had been holding, singing to Ace, and rocking him to sleep and Esme did not do that, she depended on Spencer. Ace may have felt some of the drama going on inside of his mom, babies are very intuitive. If Nicholas is the dad, he should be helping with Ace.

Okay. Now, when is Ava going to pay for her crimes? Heather was wrong and Esme didn't lie. She's just as lost as she's ever been and doesn't know who she is. And now Esme is going to see that doing the right thing (coming forward and confessing) is going to end badly, so she's definitely not going to admit to remembering her past. And more than that, she's not going to trust Laura. She's going to go right to Heather again. Esme tested the waters to see what doing the right thing would look like, and now she's left more scared than ever and left vulnerable to Heather's influence just like she was before with Ryan's influence. Esme did lie, first, she wanted some downtime by herself (she told Spencer that). She later lied to Laura when Laura knew she lost that glove because Kevin picked up the other glove. Esme said she didn't recall anything, but she did (lie #2) and in the 3rd lie, she lied at the police station and said she didn't recall anything to Ava at Windermere and she did.

I’m confused. Admitting guilt does not get you out of the punishment. You may be able to get a lighter sentence (or possibly a fine). Where on earth do you admit to a crime and the people turn around and say no prob… glad you admitted it. Even though you caused harm to others, don’t you worry… You don’t need to be inconvenienced too. 🙄 Esme is not a good person. Even the I don’t have my memories version is not a good person. That's where you can cause harm to others and get away with it even if you admit it, unless you're an enemy of certain characters, then you're the evil one. I would have no problem with Esme paying if the older people around her would lead by example and actually learn from their mistakes. And I know you're going to say I'm deflecting, but no I'm not. These are characters in the same story and the same writers. They need to find a standard and stick to it. It's wrong for Drew, Carly, Sonny, etc to be separated from their children due crimes they actually commit, but a-okay to separate Esme from her baby because he will learn from her to do the right thing. Until they start with the characters who have been getting away with the same things for decades, I'm not going to hope for a young woman to pay for things she did when she was a fresh 18/19 year old under the influence of one of the most evil psychopaths in the world who clearly was abusing her. Yes, maybe Ryan said to focus on Ava and not the other young adults, he might not have ordered her to do certain things, but he clearly got in her head and twisted it. He taught her how to navigate the world and how to respond when someone looks at you the wrong way. Now she she doesn't know who to trust. It's much more complex than "Esme is not a good person". She needs help. Laura has been trying, but I think she needs someone outside of Spencer's circle that is not Heather Webber, because she doesn't trust Kevin or Laura. I'm still waiting for the mobsters and murderers in town, who are above middle age, to pay for their on-going crimes, and not just pay but LEARN from it instead of pointing their fingers at a select few, especially a 20 year old who doesn't know up from down. Get her in therapy, if that doesn't work and she doesn't improve, then throw her in jail I guess. But she really needs someone to love her and to guide her outside of Spencer's circle.
