I assume they had Diane say that to show the contrast of the scenes between Spencer and Esme today…I still don’t get why Laura hasn’t offered herself as a guardian. Sometimes GH dodges logic bc they’re trying to hit certain beats in a story.

To me this makes no sense. Cause she’s gonna be at spring ridge temporarily and then shipped to prison. So giving her custody of this child is a waste of time cause by the time she’s in prison where will this child be at? She has no family in port Charles so that’s a done deal. Unless I’m missing something here

She's giving the baby to Laura that's her deal with her. Laura and Kevin are getting Esme and Ace when she gets out.
