It's VERY telling. Because Portia is going to f*ck up, and if and when Trina winds up preggers guess who won't be in her grandchild's life. This scene closely resembles another scene only that time it was with Laura, Spencer and Trina as they watched Esme take Ace with her to Spring Ridge, while Portia is in the background witnessing it all go down. She's on the outside looking in. She has a choice to accept her daughter's choices but her narcissism and arrogance won't allow for that so she'll have to learn the hard way. I hate that it’ll further the rift between her and Trina, but I like that the show is willing to have fallouts somewhere. Whether we want it or not, the wedding is one of the few storylines recently that seems to have any consequences. I think we’ll see Portia continuing to be an outsider and she’ll crank up her desperation. My hopes is that it has the opposite effect and pushed Sprina deeper into their romance.

I will remain neutral about Curtis until all of this unfolds and I know where he stands, but so far I'm liking what I see. I think he's gained some respect for Spencer since he was willing to put his life on the line for Trina. He'll likely bring this up to Portia, who'll then see this as an opportunity to use this a means to break up Sprina by convincing him that he's too dangerous; and that if he was willing to sacrifice himself on the Haunted Star for Trina, shouldn't he do the same now. I guarantee she'll try this, and it might work in her favor for a bit, until Trina finds out. This may lead to them getting married💯

She's been doing it for years. This all about her losing control over her daughter and her not being the center of her daughter's universe. Trina's upbringing is not that much different from Spencer's in the sense that both parents are cut from the same cloth; Portia's just more covert in her abuse as opposed to Nicholas who is the complete opposite of that. That look Curtis gave Portia though was priceless 🤣🤣🤣 Not only is he over her bs, but he was like "you're crazy" Portia has been wearing that Jekyll and Hyde mask for years, but at some point that mask started to slip; it always does. I would like to know more about her childhood, because I suspect that while her brother was always in trouble(as she says) she was always trying to be little Ms.Perfect for "daddy"🙄 Clearly she followed in his footsteps, but her brother did not🤔🤔🤔 Wonder why? One more thing, Someone brought up a very good question in regards to Portia's hatred of the Cassadine's. And I too, would like some answers to this. A detective, Axel Foley once asked "What the f*ck is going on here?" Portia doesn't at all resemble the rest of her family. And I could probably go into the whole topic about colorism and tv/movies and why they picked her to play the daughter, other than her superb acting skills. The hatred for Portia is ridiculous. She raised Trina as best she could given their circumstances. She made a mistake. There are parents out there beating, starving, troturing their children to death. Leave Portia alone!

This goes far beyond a lie. She purposely lied and was arrogant enough to continue and defend the lie had she not been found out by her daughter. Portia's behavior is not normal. She has NO respect whatsoever of her daughter's agency. She's seen only as an extension of Portia, through which all of her emotions are tied, and any thoughts or options that are Trina's cease to exist unless they're in line with her own. The fact that she's out here going behind her daughter's back and talking to one of the very people she knows is like a a mother and best friend(Ava Jerome) to Trina; and is trying to enlist her in helping to break up her daughter's relationship with Spencer proves how toxic of a person she is. Can you imagine how betrayed Trina would feel? And let's take it even further, Do you think Portia at all cares how that would effect her daughter's relationship/friendship with Ava? That it would fracture her trust in Ava? But then again, Portia is the same one who was jealous of Ava from day one of meeting her; treating Trina as if she were property🙄🙄🙄 Lastly, Portia is the classic toxic controlling mother ALL THERAPISTS speak of and the crippling effects of such behavior on their children and into adulthood. I find it astounding how so many people either overlook it or try and normalize this sort of behavior, but then wonder why so many people wind up in bad relationships, can't function properly in relationships; only to realize that a lot of their issues tie directly to living with toxic parents💯 P.S. You can come from a rich, poverty stricken, or middle class background and still be physically, mentally and emotionally abused by your parental figures👀👀👀👀💯

Don't get me wrong, but now I'm proceeding with a yellow light. Caution, caution, caution! I'm not liking this look for them. I'm two episodes, of which they are actually shown, away from telling my girl Trina, if you don't get back to living life for you! Cause as much as I can disagree with Portia, she is right when she says Trina comes first. I also cackled when she said that because it was the utmost shade to Spencer. Let's face it and like I have said before, that is going to be his downfall. He will continue to put other things instead of Trina first. I'm going to need him to dig into that Corinthos side and be like Sonny. Sonny stays getting blamed for putting Nina over his family. 😆 Also, did this interaction jar anyone else from the last one? I'm hoping that maybe the shoulder pat was a conversation that we are to assume happened off screen. Cause if not, this ain't it either. If I was Trina, I wouldn't give two flying fingers about your situation with psuedo baby mama drama; I sure as hell wouldn't be lovey dovey; while I'm sitting here about to take a DNA test.
