In 2021 Laura was more concerned about Cyrus and less concerned about Peter and In 2022 she was more concerned about Victor and less concerned Esme.

They’ve got to start finding better ways to incorporate Genie’s summers off into stories. It could be as simple as having her block tape a few scenes before she leaves and making sure she’s not anchoring story before she goes….she’s supposed to be the mayor and she’s running around like she’s not. I know it’s a soap, but we had a story during her anniversary of her almost being recalled and this will be her second time on an adventure out of PC since. It’s probably time for the show to move her on from politics.

@@hordeofswords Sure. That’s more or less what I said. I don’t have an issue with her wanting summers off. In fact, it saves the show money to keep give her have her away occasionally. My issue is how they go about it Not sure about her having a say in storylines. That’s not her job. I know Genie pitched the story about Laura being kidnapped and having a a baby (Nikolas). But in general, I don’t think the actors should dictate story…now if the actors want to point out issues with continuity and history, I’m all for it.

@@hordeofswords I like genie a lot. She uses her Influence well. Doesn’t abuse it. That being said, it doesn’t always work out….Nikolas coming back from the dead was a big fail to me. MC wasn’t good casting and in turn, they basically ruined an already flawed character. And I used to love Nikolas, but the writing for him has been horrible since I started watching again in 2021. Not to mention that MC’s version felt too youthful and not fatherly at all…

@@nfgc86 Yeah, MC was miscast. However, it looks like they're bringing Nikolas back soon since he keeps coming up. So we will see how that goes.

@@hordeofswords They need to. They should’ve just let Adam Huss fill in until they were ready to recast. Because there’s no way anyone could convince me this was the original story for Nikolas. We could’ve used him in the ice princess story….They have his baby mama running around town asking ppl to pity her and Ava’s either off screen or being a soundboard for Nina…nope, this wasn’t the plan. Bring him back. Let him off on kidnapping charges on a technicality. Let Spencer off daddy duty. And for the love of god, dna test that baby…

​@@nfgc86 I agree that the writers had other plans but MC being let go derailed a lot of that. AH wouldn't have been able to stay on the show, he is a working actor. He had like six projects lined up after his GH stint. Nick Stabile stopped acting in 2017. Stephen Martines is a literal criminal. And TC has enough to deal with right now. So we would need to find a new actor for Nik. But, yeah, his absence has been incredibly glaring. He should have been a huge part of the IP storyline. To not have him there felt off. Considering most of Nikolas' loved ones have pretty much forgiven him and consider what he did to Esme no big deal (Valentin's reaction to Laura basically brushing off Nik's crimes was hilarious, tbh) I have no doubt this will get swept under the rug and they will start over with this new actor with a clean slate.

The real Nikolas aka Tyler Christopher's version would never abandon his sons. But that Nikolas is long gone. The current Nikolas terrorized his son, slept with his son's young girlfriend, and abandoned his sons, then felt entitled to kidnap one of them from his mother who raised him from birth and proved herself to be a good mother to him. But somehow it was the mother's fault and Nikolas was justified to do so. Give me a break.

So wait is Valentin still going with them? If so how does he leave Charlotte for the summer…I mean she is a minor and her other parent is in a coma 😂
