I stumbled upon these videos 4 years ago during the 2020 Covid craziness. My addiction to this couple brings me back every few months! Thank you for the sweet memories the LnL fans get to share. ❤

I’m well into the viewing of the videos but I had to come back to the beginning. I hope all of you that were able to watch these videos back nine years ago when they were first posted will be able to see this comment. These videos have taken me back in time and made me relive part of my young adult hood that in so many ways I had forgotten. I remember purposely arranging my college schedule around General Hospital and gathering with my sorority sisters to watch the next episode. After the big wedding when adulthood and life took over and life choices took me to another continent I lost touch with what was happening here. Having returned home I’ve reached back into my past life and by mistake came across these videos. I think one thing seeing them again has taught me is to never forget to dream. And to never forget the passion. How many of us ladies have forgotten what it’s like to feel your breath catch when “he” walks in the room? How many of us remember someone looking at us that way? Thank you so much for posting these videos and making us be 18 again if only for a little while.

Most of the comments are many many years old but unbelievably I found these videos and just started watching and now....I’m to 1981. !!!!! I had to post. What a JOY it has been to revisit these episodes. To be 40 years older and 40 years of experience wiser and realize not just what a phenomenon this was....... it was incredible showmanship on every level......and I mean that respectfully. Wow!!!! It’s so funny...my husband of 30 years keeps hearing the music or the dramatic inserts and he’s flabbergasted his wife is watching a soap opera!!!! He’s never seen it before because I quit watching in1981 after the wedding when my life got too real and turned upside down. So this is first time I’ve watched since and I APPRECIATE from the bottom of my heart the time and attention it took to put this together"............ even if it looks like it was 12 years ago. It’s been wonderful watching these 2 brilliant actors you all call LnL “Do their thing”. Speechless...........

I watch the entire series of L&L once a year. There is something so pure about it, even if it is just TV. It is calming, reminiscent, and personal to the point that reality ceases to exist and the "good ol' days" reigns. I love it!

The absolute LnL beginning is when he actually gets to see her up close and personal in the student union Laura was with Scott and Brian as they're about to go meet Howard Lansing. She's wearing her ring Scott gave her and she's worried about the guy who's going to lie about her meeting in the bar. Luke sort of gets introduced but she's so worried about the meeting it doesn't really register with her. She only has eye's for Scott at this point. His comment to Brian is "She really is beautiful isn't she" Brian's reply "that she is"... That's where Luke says it was "Love at first sight for him" from then on he does everything he can to ensure he is "running into" her, school, visiting her when she has her accident, watching her and taking pictures of her at cheerleading. I think today they would consider it stalking.

The one thing I always admired about Genie was the way she carries herself and how she portrays her characters so well beyond her years. I think a lot of veteran actresses back then felt threatened by that and they didn't give her a chance to win a lot of awards because of the jealousy (it wouldn't be until 2007 when she finally won one).

Genie was never nominated when she was young because there was no younger actor or actress category. Genie's work led to that being created.

See here that is what I don’t understand?Yes Miss Francis is a very excellent young actress here. The veteran actress’s have to learn there craft just like all the rest of the many other actresss’s on GH back then. Miss Francis had a gift her talent was very well crafted . I guess she put in many hours of extra time to ply her crafts. What I still don’t understand sorry is that all of the actress’s were in the same business trying to do the best they could. Why not try together better? What makes others stick each other in the back? Don’t they want to make GH better altogether and maybe learn together? Respect each other to learn and be better sisterhoods to stand to make the business better for all women. All women in this business they call show business equal rights for each other in a business that were men mostly ruled.... all the time back then! Thank you RosieJMO. The rewrite of why Luke became two personalities was an insult. He never wanted the life of a mobster! He DID NOT envy it. He always wanted different for himself, Bobbie and Ruby. And Laura represented the life he wanted, she didn't force him into being someone he wasn't. The writers did him a great injustice.

In a way, Luke and Laura should never have returned to Port Charles. We were all happy to see them again, but you literally and figuratively can't go home again. Times had changed, Port Charles had changed, TPTB could never recapture what LnL had in the 80's. Something of its time is of its time, and only of its time. It could have been done with respecting the integrity of the characters, but TPTB decided not too. And so we got what we got. In my mind, the story ends in 1983. After that its an alternative universe.

Thank you so much for putting this up the very first ep of gh I watched was when Luke and Laura came back in the 90's I was in my early teens then and I got hooked on their storyline after watching it for a bit I asked my mom about them she told me that they were really big in the early 80's but she never really watched the show so she didn't know much about them and I was just a baby then but she did know about Luke raping Laura and of course the wedding so she told me about them and I saw some little clips on here about them but not the whole storyline but now because of you I can finally know how it all began I have the next 3 days off so you can guess what I will be doing a Luke and Laura marathon happy happy dance

I think the curly hair softens his look and features. With that straight hair he looks more distant. I felt that way when he cut his hair off in 1997, I think it made him look less likeable, once again distant. JMHO

I was one of the fans who watched GH, religiously, because of Luke & Laura. I bought my first VCR only because I didn’t want to miss any episodes. 📌 (SIDE NOTE) At the time, VCRs were still a new thing. I paid $400+ for mine. I stopped watching after L & L left in 1984. But I couldn’t handle it when the writers decided that L & L needed to get divorced. No way!! There is no way that they would divorce. I stopped watching it all together after that. I’m sure someone out there (in cyberspace) is saying “It’s just a show”. No. Luke & Laura were more than just a show. They were an event. 😊

Where did the producers of this show find the sexy,talented specimen,that is Tony Geary ? He's is such a brilliant actor,like a younger Marlon Brando,but more passionate... and again his love scenes with the talented Genie Francis ,even the controversial one with the Rise number,were great works of art ... just beautiful expressions of 2 artist that care about their craft

It's been 42yrs n we still come back. the acting was so great we all saw it as real. Tony Geary is crazy good, but remember he could not have been so good unless the other actors also brought their A game also. Remember how much we also love the way Alan n Monica played off each other. I will always remember that night they had to take care of a very drunk Susan n sick baby. That was funny. It Scott n Luke having to deliver a baby. Such great writing back then.

I also have to say in the beginning of a true love story of LnL it was sooo sweet. It became for me one of the very best I have seen. The love that was there in there eyes was truly a wonderland of pure magic. To me it was EPIC at its best I can’t remember when I loved to join in the romance and the adventures of the love for each other that they both had. The friendship, respect and deep caring for themselves, family and friends and PC. I don’t know if I would have watched other wise? To me GH was #1 back then to bad I can’t say the same now! I miss GH very much so...now the once in a lifetime love story is gone! JMVHO. Rosie. Once in love!.....

Sus, this week has left me so frustrated with present day GH that I needed some happy medicine, so I'm back at the beginning for the umpteenth dozen time.
