Iqtidar is so much better than the currently on going dramas. its suspenseful and fun to watch, one cannot really predict what's gonna happen next. Anmol and Ali's chemistry is insanely hot, hence their every scene gets viral. Anmol's character is v realistic, mehru is not neither a perfectionist nor an idiotic fl and anmol is nailing it. Ali's looking great as a young politician and slaying his character. I will give 10/10 for their chemistry, styling and looks. also, I love that both the leads have such beautiful expressive eyes!!

What's weird is that they had a separate slot for TB, but Iqtedar is too much. I was not watching it bcs I didn't hear good reviews initially. But later on the leads' clips intrigued me... n I am actually enjoying it.. it is like a guilty pleasure.. won't drive you crazy with stupid plots (except for all the moms, will agree on that with Hassan).. Iqtidar: after watching the fabulous KMKT,which had the reality we all could connect with, and it leaves us wanting for more substantial content dramas! Having said that ,Tere Bin for us was a guilty pleasure, for me Iqtidar serves that purpose atm! Frankly having watched Ali Reza in several varied roles in Mohabet gumshuda, and Duniyapur,and here in the role as Shahnawaz was intriguing,and I’ve always loved watching Anmol Baloch in her previous dramas! So Iqtidar is now filling the ‘guilty pleasure’ need in me! I prefer to watch this than Sun Mere Dil, yet I’m an ardent Wahaj fan………..plus the OST is just fabulous!

I doubt Fahd Mustafa got so much love and appreciation for any of his movies as he got for KMKT. That is the power of TV dramas, which would remain the strongest industry in Pakistan. All actors , except Fawad Khan understand this and have returned to dramas. Sadly, Fawad continues to look towards India. Instead of being impressed by Bollywood , we should recognise our own strengths and show stories around us in the most natural way , like KMKT.

Bollywood is already one of the largest film industries in the world, and other regional industries like Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam are also performing exceptionally well. However, when we look closely at the South Asian entertainment landscape, while the film industries are well-established, the drama industry has yet to reach its full potential. In this context, it would be wise for Pakistan to invest more in its drama industry, as it has a unique opportunity to grow and become a global contender, especially given its strong storytelling tradition and cultural appeal. Definitely!! His dramas have always been his way to fame. MAQH gave him his first critical success and KMKT gave him his biggest commercial success yet. Instead of saying that he doesn't have roles or don't get appropriate, he overcame that "hurdle", gave a fantastic performance, had a huge hit AND is giving interviews to local channels, instead of running to international ones first. He is truly a superstar out and out. I'm glad he invests in Pakistani industry, pushing the envelope and taking us to new heights. He deserves this success.

💯,SMD is cringeworthy, even though I absolutely love Wahaj as an actor but here it’s just tedious to watch his slow moody delivery of his lines and I preferred Maya and Wahaj’s paring in Jo bicher Gaye more! Iqtidar is my guilty pleasure, as both the two great dramas have ended (ZPKB, and KMKT ), both riveting and with such good script and acting! Iqtidar is adrenaline inducing in the cat/ mouse game Shahnawaz is playing……..with everyone, his mother, his fiancé Amal, and with Mehru!

Iqtidar - Shahnawaz is playing his game to build his political image, get his brother's case dropped with "innocent" perception and stab Mehru behind her back!... He had tried intimidating her but she didnt buzz & was gng public that could impact his anew political career. If he lets his mom or lawyer modify the evidences, public would know that his brother got the advantage of an influential family. He will never be deemed innocent and imapct Shahnawaz's career. However, In starting this game, he did not bargain for his heart to truly fall for her!... but all this heart realization will come much later on! ...but plssss tell Shahnawaz to drop those 1980 blazers & stop by "cast&crew" showroom to pick something thats in vogue? (Although I am loving the high waist trousers..He carries it with panache!) Guiltily watching Iqtidar bcoz - 1)Loving Ali Raza's romantic solo presence 2) Do not mind mushy moments that the drama has started giving 3) Really wanna know whats next for this jodi! and on Bee-jaan - There was a mention once that both the brothers were taken care by Beejaan and hence, they look upto her...Also, she is one of those rich flame who attracts the moths in a (lower-?)middle class family, buzzing around due to her affluent status bcoz of her marriage!...I have seen such roles in many families for real!

I heard an interview of Ali Reza, and he said he deliberately chose the double breasted jackets etc, and I actually thinks he being a model has carried them off well, he does look fabulous in his attire! Completely agree with Aamna that Nadaan is a work of art. Not just this one episode but the entire drama for me. This is the kind of PTV entertainment we grew up watching in the 80s and 90s. Subtle and nuanced. It is unfortunate that such dramas do not find much viewership now, the tastes having been altered for the worse.

Ghair: Loved Hassan's energy and enthusiasm!!! Remined me of TB and KTK. This drama has become my guilty pleasure which I don't miss at all. The negative characters are so hilariously evil where Tehreem phuppo takes the cake. Her style, her grace and her great diction and sarcasm is enjoyable to watch. The 180 degrees change of Jahangir and brothers is laughable. Wafa is irritating with her sobs her bechargi and constant taunting, and Ushna's acting makes it worse. Saba Hameed is absolute joy to watch. She can play the demon in MH, the tyrant in NJ, and teh sweet and just MIL in Ghair. I loveed this. She is actually remorseful of how she played a part in Hawwa's divorce, and instead of taking her nikamma and bekaar son's side, she defends Wafa. Such a refreshing twist. Interesting coming from Zanjabeel who gave us a tyrant saas in NJ and a lovable saas in Ghair. Genuinely excited.

#aamna I can't agree with you more about Osama Khan not giving hero vibes. I have it chalked down to the actor behind the character. Usually when the actor has confident body language, regardless of the character that that individual is playing on screen, that internal confidence gives them the screen presence. Osama Khan I'm putting into the same category as Imran Abbas. Not a bad actor. A couple memorable roles but definitely not star material

Nadaan: I'll have to disagree with some of your points Hasan and Aamna. I understand that it's a Mehreen Jabbar project and it's well-made but it's not short of many script and execution flaws. 1. In the Peer Subhan speech scene in last week's episode, Qamar is standing in the crowd and next scene he is at home. That's was a major continuity flaw. 2. When Dr. Tabeer gives Peer Sagan's wife the bad news that he has passed away, she doesn't even bother asking any questions. She and Qamar just walk away leaving the hospital staff to the mob. How 2.
