I am a big fan of both Ghamidi Sb. and Hassan and I've watched this series with great interest. In the end, all I can say is this. Ghamidi Sb. has tried to justify Ameer Muawiya's Machiavellian tribal politics against Hazrat Ali's purely Islamic principles. He has tried to discredit tens of the ahadith in which the Prophet SAW predicted and warned against what would be done to his Ahl-e-Bait. He has also discredited the great status given by the Prophet SAW himself to Hazrat Ali RA. Hazrat Ali is not some other person, he is a personality unmatched in nobility, piousness, wisdom and bravery. We love him unlike anyone else because the Prophet SAW loved him unlike anyone else. Moreover, he has tried to discredit Hazrat Hussain and his family's sacrifice. In the end, all I can say is that this is a sheer display of disloyalty and cowardice. Maybe, he's done this to reinforce his concept of Hujjat (since Muawiya continued expansion of the empire). Whatever the reason, all this is utterly nonsensical and disappointing.

You are right ,Ghamidi is justifying the attack on the very spirit of what he says ,"amrahum shura bainahum," (democratic spirit of Islam).If the "Islamic democracy"was not or could not be established fo more than 40 or 45 years and monarchy or dictatorship,even of the worst kind still persists in most of the Islamic countries,how could anybody claim that Islam was ,is and will remain the best system of living our life on this planet?Ghamidi is using his knowledge for justifying the intrinsic or addedo shortcomings of Islam and the Muslims.He uses lame logic.Anybody who justifies Muwaviya's nomination of Yazeed for Caliphate is not only ,not a good Muslim,he is not a democrate also. At the time of his departure, Muwiyah was a very powerful and influential monarch.Was it not possible for him to call an assembly of revered,influential and upright sahabas and ask them to vote for a new caliph.There could have been several candidates including Yazid and the assembly could have decided rather than Muawiyah who had himself usurped the throne through trickery,tyranny and cunningness.Ali (AS) has clearly called Muwaviya the leader of Mushrakeen,( read Ali AS's letters). The fact is that the whole affair had nothing to do with Islamic tenets and rules.It wasjust a struggle for power in which Muslims did what non Muslim tribal,feudals and autocratic kings had done. One feels shocked when Ghamidi says or implies that the nomination of Yazid too was to avoid the internal war and violence.He forgets that thousands were killed in Madina by the army of Yazid and at least 1000 women were raped by this mercenary army.Later on, but as a sequence of Muaviya's this decision, Kabba was stoned and blood was shed in the holy premises. Ghamidi often says that the concept and practice of democracy was born and evolved in Europe and America.This is true but Ghamidi must accept that Islam and Muslims were and are far behind the other nations and countries;as such Islam and Muslims have nothing special or distinct to offer to the world or to the people whom they call "kafirs"(non believers) or "mushriks"(polytheists) This man is knowledgeable and intelligent but a prisoner of fear.He can't say the truth as the truth would make him a non beliver.

This whole "dragged" answer is based on the assumption that Hussain RA wanted to be a Khalifa himself. This is absolutely wrong. Selection of Yazeed was a Ijtihadi mistake of Ameer Muawiya RA. Yazeed was never a good choice. Imam Hussain stoop up for a religious reason not a political reason. This is the traditional view of islamic ulema and you're opinion is what they call a "shaaz raye" Kyun app logon ke deen iman ko robotic bana rahay hain. I choose to stand with the tradition and not a "munfarid zawiya" we dont need a minfarid zawiya. This is not physics or chemistry. These events happened in the first Islamic century and there's no need for "munfarid andaaz" thank you

Ghamdi Sahab has discussed this issue in political perspective which is necessary to unite the Muslim Umah but on the other hand Ghamdi sahab has not discussed in the light of Islam (Quran+Ahdid) which somehow shows that Ghamdi Sahab has defend the Hazrat Mawya and Yazeed though he has never said that Hazrat Ali a.s was wrong. Please do not compare him to Imam Hussain alaihissalam. Hold on to your emotions. Shakhsiyat parasti mat karo. Ghamdi saab is much better in many ways from many scholars today but still, I personally believe he is not doing justice to the topic here. @@mmh4all Dear bro I'm not comparing HUSSAIN & ustaad... there is no way of comparising between them.. he will never be little bit near to HUSSAIN anytime even if we add few more lives to his name. unless Allah' s wish..... I knew he is not justifying the topic.. He is 100% wrong in his view & analysis..his way of apporching in understanding the waqia is completely wrong... In fact..it's me who have objected a lot with Ustaad on this topic in every episode u can check the comments section of every episode that too with authentic points & genuine questioning .. I compared HUSSAIN & ghamdi in their motives & intention of protecting Deen from all kind of harm it's their motive & intention what I compared as same.. By doing that I have put his words in his mouth only.. If he says HUSSAIN was wrong that time..then He has to admit he was doing wrong in his whole life..his intention & motives of reforming the Deen were wrong. He has no right to do that. .. Since Gamdi sahib has no legitimate evidence to justify rule of Moavia and his son Yazid, it took him 5 sessions to justify their de jure rule by taking examples from outside the Holy Quran and saying of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) - Roma, Grace, Afghanistan, Iran, UAE, army dictators etc etc. Taking these examples from outside the Islamic teachings he justifies nomination of Yazid. It took him less than one session to justify rule of the 4 guided caliphs. A good evidence that Gamdi sahib despite being a great researcher is a biased sectarian orator. The Holy Prophet in a short time while being busy with wars devised a strategy for chosing future Muslim rulers, while the Caliphs despite having ample time failed to do so resulting in establishment of mulukiyat. Gamdi sahib took 4 sessions to justify this failure. A well thought biased opinion instead of a discussion based on teachings of Holy Quran and Holy Prophet (PBUH). Contrary to Gamdi sb assertion that Moavia's decision was a blessing on the ummah, history has shown that this decision resulted in deterioration of the State established by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) into despotic family States based which didn't honour Islamic teachings.

but mawia had a treaty with Imam hasan that after him the power will be transferred to Imam Husain. HE then violetd the agreeement. yu did not rfer to this treaty.
