Ghamidi sahib during this series of talk has categorically stated:1. "is baat ko chod dein keh Ali aur Muawiya main say kon Haq per tha aur Kaun Haq per nahi tha" (When the founding principle of Haq and Batil is set a side then this whole debate is irrelevant.). 2. He has proved that Hadis of Ammar Bin Yasir is false. Even Muawiya himself never dared to call it false. On the contrary he defended himself by saying that Ali killed Ammar by bringing him in war.. 3. When it suits, Ghamidi sahib finds Shura Baina Hum sound and valid in favour of 3 caliphs. When he has to defend Muawiya he finds this principle weak and unimplementable. 4. He has justified revolt of Muawiya against Ali.5. He has justified the cheating, trickery and fraud of Muawiya during battle of Siffin when his sword could not win the war. 6. Prophet and 3 Caliphs did not create constitutional institutions to support SHURA BAINA HUM.. 8. The rule of the usurper MUTAGHALLIB is accepted to avoid civil war. 10. For 1400 years democracy, according to his definition, did not take place in the Muslim world ( when it is justified to usurp the power then why there was need for democracy). 10. But the principle of SHURA BAINA HUM will continue to be propagated verbally. I have great respect for Ghamidi Sahib and his views but he is living in the world of make-believe. IN DEFENDING INDEFENSIBLE ISSUES LIKE AGE OF UM. H. BIBI AISHA RA AT THE TIME OF HER MARRIAGE AND MUAWIYA, HE HAS BUILT HIS WHOLE CASE BY NEGATING THE AHADIS E TAWATAR AND CRAFTING SELF DEFEATED ARGUMENTS. Only a man of his intellect can do this. 1. Why is it irrelevant? 2. I too have read this although I don’t remember the source. I am waiting for Ghamidi Sahib’s justification for this claim as well. 3. He is not defending Muawiya. He is explaining the political climate of the situation. One of which is that the rebels were a primary force in coercing Ali RA to assume Khilafat, which I think you would hardly agree based their decision of assassinating Uthman RA on Amruhum Shura Baynahum. 4. Again he has not justified anything. On the contrary, he has time and time again mentioned that the compromise to give ba’et was a de facto compromise, not de jure. 5, Especially not Siffin. Which was one instance of a larger political scenario. Also, too much emotional bias in this claim. 6. This point has been clarified multiple times. Shura(s) of democratic inclusivity were formed by the Prophet and the Caliphates for their rule. Just not an institution that could be projected towards the future. 7. No number 7. 8. True, and makes sense, in the light of all of human history. A principle that the Sahaba and Tabe’iin too adopted. 9. (The first number 10) Yes this is also true. You cannot abandon a Quranic imperative just because we cannot figure out a way to implement it. 10. You should not resort to making claims that make matters seem as set in stone, only Allah SWT can do that. Also please do not make personal attacks.

Wow Never heard before !! Selection of Yazeed was a great Favor. So, as per Ghamdi sahb first Ameer Muavua R.A had a right to fight against legitimate government of Hazrat Ali R.A and then he had a right to select his Son as his predecessor. Key points that Ghamdi Sahb is missing to acknowledge in his whole thesis. First, Khulifa Rashdin did produce second tier leadership in the form of Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Zubair , Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar, Hazrat Hassan , Hazrat Hussian, Abdur Rehman bin Abi Bakar, Abudullah ibn Abbass and so on. They were well capable of ruling. Second don't forget the prophecies of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W about Khwarij , Hawb and Ammar R.A It was blessing from Allah to warn the muslim against possible evils which they did commit. Third don't forget the tribal tussle between Bani hashim and Bani umyiah, Hazrat Abu sufiyan at various point tried to impose his pre-islam position here are few authentic events When he offered Hazrat Ali R.A to wage a war agaist hazrat abu Bakar R.A and offered him great Army second when he said that umar R.A is not paying him great attention rather attending poors with low tribal rank. Here Ghamdi sahb is over simplifying things and Instead of Valuing the great struggle of Hussain Ibn Ali R.A in the history of mankind he is crafting logics for Taghooti Yazeedi rule. Those Sahaba who accepted Yazeed for time being what happened to them !! that is enough to demolish this thesis.

Answers to all of your questions lies with the research of Mr. Mehmood Ahmed Abbasi's books written in 1960's 1. Khilafat Muawia aur Yazeed 2. Tahqeeq Mazeed 3. Syed ul Sadaat All of these books are available online from Rekhta. Roughly 1,300 pages. If you dare to put your opinion out that loud, make sure you are properly equipped with all the tools.

The turmoil was created with the martyrdom of Hazrat Usman RA. Who were those people?? They were present in Hazrat Ali(RA)'s army. Why they were not punished.. I would suggest you with humbleness to kindly read Ibn e Kaseer about the chapter Shahadat e Usman RA and you will realize how Ameer Muaviya RA was somehow right on his stance.

عمار والی روایت اخبار احاد نہیں ہے جناب غامدی صاحب کو اس پر وضاحت دینی ہوگی کیسے یہ روایت ایک راوی سے آئ یاں پھر میں کہتہ ہوں کہ یہ روایت اخبار احاد نہیں مزید دوسرے راویوں سے بھی یہی حدیث آئ ہے اور اسی طرح معاویہ سے بھی یہی روایت ہے جب ان کہ گروہ سے سیدنا عمار ابنِ یاسر قتل ہوئے۔
