You do realize that the United States what is the founder of modern democracy because we the people( except sadly slaves and woman at the time) were able to pick who will be in government. We were also the founders of freedom of speech, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The reason young people in Africa are looking at that is because they wanted.
