@@back2basiccooking I have one suggestion. Leave your heavy whipping cream at room temp for at least 4 hours before you whip it into butter and buttermilk. It will take less time for the butter to separate from the buttermilk. It only takes about 4 minutes for it to happen when I use my mixer to whip up my 64 Oz heavy whipping cream. And I think I get better separation.

I find it very satisfying plus cost for me was $10. It’s worth it.

@@back2basiccooking I would not bother to do it myself, but recently I purchased 30 gallons of heavy whipping cream for $30, I’m so happy to find your video. My Only concern is if I can keep it in my pantry without refrigeration? Thank you much! I made some already, it smells so good. I used one gallon of cream itself only on the high heat and my ghee smells like buttery caramel. I’m interested in Ayurvedic recipes for many years. All knows that ghee is the healthiest butter/oil to cook with 👌🏻👍🏻🌹, and it is great cosmetic product.

May I know how one can get so much butter and ghee frm just one container of heavy cream. What is the weight of cream you used? Did you use all 5 containers? What is the weight of each container?
@back2basiccooking
@back2basiccooking Жыл бұрын
I used all 5 containers. Each container is half a gallon

Do you have a use for the buttermilk which was drained off?
@back2basiccooking
@back2basiccooking Жыл бұрын
Yes. You can drink it like you would drink lassi ( buttermilk). Just add a little salt. Or you can use it in cooking.

Hiya for long did u put the double cream on the stove before u put it in the fridge to cool down
@back2basiccooking
@back2basiccooking Жыл бұрын
It’s no longer double cream. It turns into butter. You have to completely melt the butter. Let it cool completely before putting it in the fridge. Hope that helps.

How much ghee did you get from 5 quarts of heavy cream ???
@back2basiccooking
@back2basiccooking Жыл бұрын
@@jrr6276 I had 5 half a gallon containers of whipping cream. I looked on the jar but it doesn’t give the size. I weighed the ghee with the jar, it comes out to 10 pounds. I also measured the height and width all around the jar height is 9 inches width is 22.5 inches. Hope that helps.
