Hey Morgan, happy birthday! It would’ve been your 33rd birthday today, September 18, 2024. It’s nearing two years since we lost you to cancer, but the memories we shared are still fresh in my mind, and not a day goes by where I don’t think of you. I will never forget our 11 years of friendship, and I am glad we thought of each other as brothers. I noticed FilmCow has a special Patreon tear where he will make a Ghost House episode with your name in it if you back him for a month. I instantly knew it’d be the perfect birthday present for you. I remember how much fun we had watching Ghost House, and how we started saying “oh shit…” to each other as our own little meme. I just knew that having a new episode with your name in it would be the perfect way to honor you, and messaged him if I could have an episode released on your birthday. It turns out he did us two better! First, remember that shitty conspiracy you posted on Reddit back in college? Well, I told Jason Steel about it since it felt like something one of his characters would sincerely believe and then be proven right about. Well, it turns out Jason Steel’s a super cool guy and he actually did a voice-over of the conspiracy, and I swear he described it exactly how you did back in college! kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4fGlYumg7hsoKs Second, I know for a fact that this episode would’ve been your absolute favorite. Knowing you, you’d start staring at me randomly throughout the day with one eye closed just saying “wink” a bunch of times in a row, just like how you’d point at any animal and call it a cat, or stare at someone with your tongue part way out. Thank you for being there for me when I needed it. When you were first diagnosed with cancer, I promised you wouldn’t go through it alone, and I kept that promise all the way to the end, where I held on to you in your final moments. There are times now where it almost feels like you’re returning the favor, and whether or not it’s true, I like to believe it. I felt you support me when my grandfather passed away, I felt you protect me when my car was hit and tipped over, and I felt you help me find a new car just like you did my old one. I sincerely hope you’re staring at me right now with one eye closed, making that wink sound effect over and over again.
