Ghost hunt at Newsham Park Orphanage 😱👻

So, a little different video to my usual ones…
After doing the drone video of Newsham Park Orphange / Hospital, I was lucky enough to be invited in to the building for a walk around last week and then invited to a ghost hunt with Haunted Happenings last night..
Here is my video of the evening and what I was able to record..
It opened my eyes a lot to be honest…

I'm very sceptical about this stuff but for those who don't mind taking the time to read this, I have a recent story about Newsham Park Hospital that is relevant to some of what you talk about in this video. I did a ghost hunt at Newsham Park Hospital a couple of nights ago and for pretty much all of it, all I saw was overly-keen people getting themselves worked up over perfectly explicable things. The Ouija boards, table tipping, divination... did nothing for me, but I mean no disrespect to those that believe it. It was fun and my brother and I had a good laugh, mostly just enjoying the experience of exploring such a fantastic location. We went around the whole hospital, including shutting ourselves in the cupboards in the naughty boys corridor, but didn't get any bad vibes anywhere; I didn't feel the presence of ghosts or 'evil', it just felt like I was plodding around some cool museum exhibit. There was some 'activity' in the group vigils, but nothing that convinced me it was legit. HOWEVER. Down in that basement, in the room next door to the one with the mannequin in (it's the room between that room and the locker room), I had an experience that I cannot explain or get out of my head. It was just my brother and I in the basement, everyone else was in different parts of the building. We had a motion sensor ball (1 that lights up when it's moved) and a K2 meter, which we placed on a wooden table in the middle of the room and we started asking questions; we had nothing initially but then all of a sudden we both went from being really warm to being absolutely frozen, in a matter of seconds. Then the motion sensor started going off, so we switched on the torches and performed a series of tests and checks to debunk the motion sensor, to see if accidental movement from 1 of us would set it off. I ran around the table, stamped my feet all around it and jumped up and down as hard as I could next to it, but nothing. We did everything we could to see if there was anything we could have done to have triggered it, or if it was overly-sensitive; however, it was only when we physically touched it/picked it up that it went off, so it was definitely not overly-sensitive. We were on solid stone floor and the table was as sturdy as a ship, so we were both satisfied that it couldn't have been caused by vibrations. Besides, we were both completely still on all occasions that the ball went off. The temperature had returned to normal by this point, so we turned off the torches again and carried on asking questions. For a few minutes, we had nothing and the atmosphere felt normal; I certainly wasn't feeling psyched out at this point, as I made a conscious effort to not let that happen and I wasn't convinced anyway at this point. The K2 meter flickered once but that was all it did for the duration; weirdly, I only noticed this when I watched the video back and it coincided EXACTLY with when I asked for whoever was there to walk up to "the machine with the green light on" as opposed to just focusing on the ball, so that was really weird timing. As the questions went on, I suddenly felt the temperature plummet, but this time it felt like someone was breathing icy cold breath directly down my neck. I felt very uneasy, like someone was stood behind me; I'm pretty hard to rattle but I could not shake this feeling. I began to feel quite unwell, like my head was stuck in a freezer and my brain was being sucked out of my head (sounds weird, but the it's best way I can describe it). It got so intense that at 1 point, I asked my brother "Is there anything behind me?". Within about 1 second of me asking this, the motion sensor started going off like crazy; neither of us had moved and we were both stood at least 5 metres away from it. Once again, the fact that our equipment was in PERFECT sync with the questions I was asking, was beyond weird. All of a sudden, my brother sounded terrified and said "Dude, there's a hand right behind you". Now, I know my little brother; he's a bit easier to rattle than me and he's not quite as sceptical as me, but he's no liar and the fear I heard in his voice was genuine (he sounded absolutely terrified). I spun around and turned my torch on but there was nothing there; however, the awful feeling in my head was reaching a crescendo and I felt like I was going to be sick and/or pass out. At this point, we promptly made our way out of that room and swiftly made our way back upstairs to find the others. I work as a copper; I know what an adrenaline dump feels like and I know what it feels like to be frightened for your life, as I've been in plenty of dangerous/scary situations at work. I've felt pure terror from many things before, too many to mention... but never in my life have I felt what I felt in that basement. The only way I can describe it is that there was someone stood directly behind me, wishing me all the ill intent in the world and sucking all of the energy out of my head. It sounds crazy to say, because I do not believe in 'energy' (at least, in the sense that some of these avid ghost hunters refer to it), but that's what it felt like. The fact that this coincided with the motion sensor going off like crazy all of a sudden (literally as I asked the question) and my brother seeing an arm reaching around my shoulder, tells me that some unknown presence was definitely there. I felt poorly for a good 45-60 minutes afterwards, to the point that my brother was quite worried about me. One thing we both agreed upon is that it was not a pleasant presence we felt; whatever it was we experienced, it brought a very hostile vibe. I videoed the whole thing and managed to capture the ball going off when I asked the question; there is a small white orb darting around the room for most of this incident too; however, I believe this could potentially be light from the K2 meter reflecting off the camera lens, so I'm yet to be convinced by that. There is another video on KZbin where they are in the laundry room (the room next door to the 1 we were in), and talk about how people have had arms and hands grabbing them. The fact that you also experienced that sudden temperature plummet and feeling of someone behind you, in the room next door to where I had my experience, makes me feel rather relieved... because I'm glad that I'm not the only one that experienced it and the levels of coincidence are too high for me to explain, there definitely appears to be a pattern with the specific type of activity experienced in this specific part of the building. My other half is even more sceptical than me and she is struggling to believe me. My brother said the arm had a white sleeve on it too, which is reminiscent of some of the apparitions described in this video; he did only see it in the dim light from the motion sensor ball, but even days later he's confident he saw it. There would definitely appear to be some unknown force present in this hospital... whether it is dead people or some other unexplained phenomenon, I don't know. All I know is that I will be going back in the near future, to see if anything else happens.

Thanks so much for this Kieran.. Reading your message just gave me “shivers” down my spine thinking about that room again. I know the room you mean and it’s where I stood and everyone in our group thought I had gone as they said it went absolutely pitch black in the corner where I was stood. That’s when we had the feeling of someone stood behind us too. I’ll certainly go back too 👍🏻

@@misterdroneuk Fascinating that you had that in the exact same room as well! Sounds very similar to what happened to me; glad I'm not the only one who knows how unpleasant it is. But, we're clearly gluttons for punishment if we both want to go back haha! Like I said, so many stories of a few specific types of activity, repeatedly occurring in a tiny section of an enormous building... that's the strangest part for me.

We just did this two nights ago. Same as everything you described. It wasn’t until the last part of our night down in laundry that the balls were going mad and we all genuinely felt very scared. Nothing in the previous six hours had given me that kind of feeling

@@Lozzalo66 Glad/sorry you had to go through it as well! I've mulled it over so much since it happened, and looked for every which way to debunk it... since watching the video back, I realised that I moved ever so slightly when I looked to check if anything was behind me, but it was such a small movement and so far away from the ball that I'd be amazed if that set it off after everything else we did to try and get it to go off. The only other thing I can think of with the temperature change is that perhaps we were psyching ourselves out without realising it, and giving ourselves that tingly feeling. But even both of those theories feel like a stretch to me. Have a watch of the link I posted above and see what you think :) It's not much, but it will help you visualise what I'm talking about.

Really enjoyed this episode and I’m sure (unless it was the light from your camera) that from 9.08 onwards while watching the ball light up several orbs were very visible as they passed through the shot 😱 great work 👍👍

I did this exact event 3 weeks before you did in mid March 2022. I was the only person in the fairly large overally group willing to say I was a sceptic but willing to have my mind changed if I saw or experienced anything unusual. I loved it. Great place, great event, also highly recommend it. Some rooms (especially that one downstairs with all the shelves and nothing else in it) felt really eerie and I did not wanna be in there for long. I got in a cupboard for a big on my own at the naughty boys and closed the door and my eyes expecting to feel something grab my hand; nothing. During the ouija board stuff we got nothing. I was aware of one member of the board who was a strong believer and I was mindful of trying to feel deliberate 'pushes' of the glass from that direction, but still we got nothing. Maybe on another night I'd have had a different experience and noticed something notable. But yeah, overall really enjoyed it nonetheless. The morgue was off limits to us which we were told was unusual due to building/safety issues at the time. Maybe it was the same for you 3 weeks later, I dunno. But would have been great to get in there. I would definitely like to go and do it again sometime. I would hate going back to an empty house after it; thankfully for me this was not the case!

I went on a ghost hunt in Newsham Park, and I remember sitting in the naughty boys corridor, this is where I felt the side of my hair lift and I could feel the coldness hitting my scalp, it was already really cold there anyway, but as soon as my hair was lifted I felt the cold on the part underneath, and as I went to say something my hair returned to normal, and there was a lady that was directly across to me but a seat down, the EMF meter went off instantly once my hair went back into place

Very interesting location, and also I do have a local paranormal group here as well been doing it since 2003 and currently working on a revised channel to showcase all that. I do believe at 2:38 I heard an EVP possibly 2:40 unless thats an added sound effect in post-edit. Definately need to research more on this location.

my home needs investigating, Toys used to FLY off the shelves at night, i am not joking, theres no reason logically why toys would fly off with such force unless a ghost was throwing them. generally you feel someone is with you in that room and at night you used to hear footsteps on the landing, the being resides in that specific room and no only wanders out if the door is left open at night so i make sure the door stays shut before I sleep. really been some very frightening stuff going on over the years in that room alone.
