I agree with your point of view regarding the price and Melbourne Instruments as pioneers - this was a beautifully designed tool, and the return on investment could be tenfolds in the right hands, such as yours - great demo btw, you've got yourself a subscriber.

One of the best sounding synths ever in my opinion, and the build quality feels like it's a synth from the future.

Hey, you did a fantastic job with this presentation. I own a Nina and it's been difficult to describe to friends why it's so great. You've done so well at that with this post. Yes, the effect, filter and oscillator options sound great, but they aren't really groundbreaking. They just sound like really good analog. The true innovations are misunderstood by many synth shoppers. The importance of parameter memory per patch is unprecedented, alone. Adding the ability to morph between two is still brand new. Now with the ability to automate the Morph, I'm extremely happy with the investment I made last year. Thanks so much for a thorough, yet succinct review of what I think is the most innovative synth since... I forget what the first polyphonic synth was, tbh. Great job! Do Osmose next :)

I also want to back up your opinion about the price. The instrument is built like a tank. Its stability rivals anything I have (for example, the OB-6 which was about the same price). PLUS it's an analog synth that remembers where you set the knobs per preset and per layer. I don't know of another that does so. MUCH BETTER than taking a picture on yr phone to remember. I don't think they should lower the price, honestly. Being an early adopter helps this company stay in business, which they should. And no, I don't work for them.

Welcome to the world of hardware analogue and congratulations to choosing the right representative from it. Great stuff.

When I was just a pup analog poly synths cost as much as a luxury car. Some as much as a house. Even the price of the "cheap" DX-7 cost half as much as a new Yugo. The whiners today do not know how good they have it. $3,600 is half a DX-7 adjusted for inflation.

Awesome, insightful review of an amazing sounding synth! I just played a Delia yesterday for the first time. I had a blast with it, and it also sounds just amazing. I'm curious what you think about the comparison of the two, and which you would prefer? I'm thinking you'd stick with the Nina, but yeah just curious! I was considering a Waldorf M, and I love the four part multitimbral aspect, and the M sounds totally awesome too, but the interface on these synths is just next level for sure. I almost can't NOT get one. Ha.

Great Video. You really concentrate on the important features of NINA, while still giving a nice overview. I totally agree with your opinion on the price, value for money and pioneership by Melbourne Instruments. Thats why I bought it 😊. The filter could be more versatile, but the user interface is simply unique and imho the best there is on the market, for a hardware synth.

Very musical and melodic sounding synth. Sounds like an instrument in itself.

Hey, I'm having issues with MPE using Push 3 and the Nina, for some reason when I do chords it goes wildly out of tune (no matter how carefully and what settings are on the Push 3) do you happen to know how you've set it up on the Nina/Ableton?
@tendingtropic777810 ай бұрын
how does the multitimbral stuff work, can you 'control' each layer from within your daw via a different midi channel?

Great video, but that mpe looks really interesting too, if may I ask What brand is it?

last question: why do you have push, while you use logic? (thinking about it too)

@7min, 22min - I believe it’s because Nina supports MPE. He’s taking advantage of the Ableton Push MPE with the Nina.
