Finally, someone recognized her going from high chest to false seto while singing on the same note. I've watched at least 100 reactions including vocal coaches to this song, where she does it several times, and you're the first to point it out.

I read somewhere that Ghost Love Score was not originally included in the 2012 world tour since Annette had problems singing it, but Floor asked Toumas to add it since it was one of her favorite Nightwish songs. She also added the vocals at the end. If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend you watch the video "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours", which tells the tale of Floor's addition to the band. I still find it incredible that she actually could accomplish this and do so well from the first performance.

Annette had also added her own (albeit popy) ending to the song, which was an improvement to the original version that basically had no ending. But the Floor ending is spectacular.

Hello again Jim. I remember that, when I asked for a Nightwish reaction, you said that you'd heard most of their studio work. Doing this review of a live performance is a nice alternative. It's where their musicianship really comes into its own. I enjoyed watching it a lot. I hope you'll do more of these reviews. Maybe a more recent performance, like Hellfest 2022 or Deichbrand 2022, would be a nice next step. You'll get to hear how they sound nowadays, without Marko's vocals. Greetings from the Netherlands.

As promised here is a biography of our 1.83m tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on the best and most versitale female singer of our time. Floor joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Kai is a technical drummer, a machine, but Jukka was more emotional, a mad Berserker attacking the music with raw passion. Jukka was always a thrill to watch.

Floor is incredible. I saw her twice with Raskasta Joulua last time I was in Finland, and she really is that amazing. (They actually recorded her and Marko, Nightwish's former bassist, singing "Ave Maria" together at the second show I was at. It was such a stunning performance.) Also, another couple of suggestions: "Awakening" by Unleash The Archers, and "Light Me Up" by Kobra And The Lotus. Both are female-fronted bands with insanely talented singers and musicians. And the latter has a very powerful video to go along with the song.

Yes, Marko left early last year. New bassist is Jukka Koskinen, from Wintersun ,and was announced as a permanent member last month. Marko's vocal lines have been taken up by Floor and Troy.

Hello Griever. I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja ) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Thanks for your enthusiastic reaction. As a suggestion for your live evenings have you ever listened to Floor’s solo songs? She did bring out ‘Fire’ ‘Storm’ and ‘Me without you’. She also did some duets with Henk Poort which are phenomenal, for instance : ‘Phantom of the opera’ ‘Dangerous games’ and ‘Sweet curse’

At least you've started with the live performances featuring the best singer for Nightwish, Floor Jansen with what is the definitive version of this song with ending that she added, which is why the crowd chant her name at the end. Second singer was Anette who was not very good live both vocally and interaction with the crowd. This is so early in her singing for Nightwish and so much better a few months later at Wacken 2013. You mentioned her breathing and transitions from chest to head or mixed but not her perfect pitch. This is the 13th song of the set. Emppu on lead is the same as the rest of the band in that he doesn't need an ego trip which is why they are so good together. Perhaps you could visit Floor's KZbin channel for her various covers, chats with fans and vocal training.

great reaction my dude! You HAVE to check out Unleash The Archers!!! Their lead singer Brittney Slayes is in my opinion one of the BEST vocalists in the power metal scene!!! The daughter of Bruce Dickinson, Dio and Geoff Tate, she is incredible. Awakening is most reactors jumping off point for them as it showcases EVERY members INSANE talent! Then others would be Tonight We Ride for older material and Faster Than Light off their newest album! Also, she performs an Opera Duet of Brindisi with the lead singer of Lords of The Trident which is amazing and for a fun treat she has a video recording of her singing karaoke of Queen of The Reich by Queensryche a few beers deep and AFTER performing a whole concert the same night which just goes to show shes game at ANY time! Keep up the great work!!!

But it's even crazier, since around the time these ppl bought them, Floor had only just recovered from a severe burn-out that plagued her during the greater part of 2011. She got the phone call from Tuomas cs in 2012 at her sister's wedding and the world changed for the better ;) There's a lovely English subbed mini-docu made for Dutch tv where she talks abt it. It's shot on site right before, during & after the legendary Tampere 2015 concert and includes interviews with Floor's parents who were present in the crowd and Tuomas' famous words "She's right at home, doing this". 25th or 26th performance for Floor. Wow! Nightwish plays with backing tracks on most songs, along with click tracks for the drummer. New record expected in late 2023 - early 2024. Already written and scheduled for band rehearsals for the studio in summer of 2023.

The second singer was Anette Olzon. She's a little underrated nowadays, although she she did a very good job in two great Nightwish albums. But yes, Floor is my eternal Queen! 💗👸 And if you know the 'Wacken' version, you see the differences: more wild audience, not so good A/V quality, and maybe a little better ending. But anyway, 'Wacken' is better, but only just. 😎👍

If you haven't heard her new solo stuff you should definitely check it out. Not as metal but definitely Floor. Also you should checkout Tuomas and Troy's side project with Tuomas's wife Johanna, Auri. More of a folk vibe but every bit as beautiful. Hey you have a twin by the name of Brian Hull. You may not be blood twins but y'all looking awful lot of like. But he does a lot of voice impressions. And it doesn't really well.
