The fact she accuses everyone of lack of empathy. I wanted breast removal since I was 12 due to severe body dysmorphia. But I thank God I didn't AS A KID. My body was still growing and changing. I finally got the surgery at age 24 because I still felt the same way. I have compassion for people genuinely suffering these kinds of mental illnesses. But children can be helped still. While I was denied a radical surgery I also wasn't given any therapy or actual help that might have mitigated my mental illness. These kids have that chance. And at least I wasn't brainwashed. It was an actual illness, not indoctrination. I'm happy with my decision to this day but I don't wish any child to go through it.

It, like same sex attraction, was removed not because any real science suggested it wasnt (both are by definition deleterious to mental and physical health), but rather because the APA caved to pressure from "advocacy" groups that wanted to stop having to acknowledge their deviant behavior was harming their own health, and instead have the treatment for the additional diseases their behavior was inflicting on them covered by the taxpayer instead of altering their own behavior. Oh, it will probably come. Dont know if i am wrong or marketing guys just don´t see it. I feel something similar to the Star Wars Community. Growing apathy against newly released titles. And since it seems to grow over different corporations and we see more and more of it, it could develope into a gaming-community wide apathy against newer games. Not just against Ubisoft, EA and so on. With that in mind... it´s not that unlikely, to be honest. For every great AAA-release and every decent AAA-release, how many flops could we observe in the last few months? It gets increasingly bad. Similar to Star Wars, i just started to see new releases as some form of meta-content. It´s not about enjoying the games itself. I won´t be able to. But i will enjoy the opinions and discussions about it. Star Wars is a bit further down the line. And it feels like, there is only just one decent, but forgettable and one horrible example missing for AAA games to catch up to the state of Star Wars. Only a feeling, bu I think, we already had the peak of this decade while Covid and from now on, it will decrease more and more due to the growing apathy. Don´t think, that younger gamers that just get into the hobby will necessarily be able to compensate for the apathy dropouts. Also, they have less buying power. Interesting times, come they will. ;)

I’ve notice that heavy LGBT supporters and members are demanding that kids also learn about the community without thinking about how it’ll affect their mental development for lack of better words. Take for example Vivian from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I’m fully aware that she’s trans in the original, but that was in every other version outside of North America. Now that we have an official NA version containing it, not only does it not fit into the story because it’s only brought up twice in the whole game and doesn’t lead up to anything, but it’ll also confuse children who are still developing. They’ll start thinking things they shouldn’t at a very young age. Why is it that kids need to wait till they hit their early to mid teens to learn about the birds and the bees, but teaching toddlers self mutilation before they reach the first grade is completely acceptable?

To be honest, out of the context he used in his post, I 1000% agree with the implication of what Layden said, which amounts to "devs should make the game they want to," because that IS why gaming was so good back in the day. Devs made the games they wanted to, which attracted likeminded people or otherwise created them (kids who grew up on the games). But somewhere along the way, those developers sort of just disappeared, or were replaced, etc. Now, we have their replacements trying to tap into an audience that was forged by the those original devs -- an audience which quite simply does not align with these new devs and the games they want to make, because, naturally, we like the old stuff. That's what the market became and still IS. They are quite literally in the wrong line of work, because the people they are making these games for do not even play games. They only care about how they may or may not serve their political ideology or how they make them feel in twitterspace. And the ones who DO play games don't want THOSE games.

​@bawbehh Yes, they did patch it. No, it did not fix everything. What they essentially did was expand on the horrible ending some more and make it slightly more satisfying. Whereas the original game had you pick between Red, Blue, or Green streams of lights and then rolled credits (I'm not joking that is essentially what it was), the expanded version had you choose between Red, Blue, Green and Yellow lights and then gave small slide show-esk cutscenes to show the outcomes of your given color choice. In short, it was better than the original but by no means a perfect fix.

I'll be honest, I've been playing Ghost of Tsushima for the past week and all the signs of it going woke were there. Sure the story is great and gameplay is amazing, but you start to notice that there's an awful lot of female warriors/samurais. They have the excuse of all the men going to the initial battle and dying, but still it was kinda weird, especially with how mary sue they make the female characters: -Yuna, the woman that saves the protagonist: she can fight with a sword, she is an expert marksman, she's a pro thief -Masako, the last survivor of clan Adachi: they basically hype her up to be the best swordsman the island has left -Tomoe, Ishikawa's student: they hype her up to be the best archer on the island period There are a few more minor characters that are not as important but yeah it's just like bald man says: it's a mining canary.
