Had this issue when it first came out. Only thing I remember from it was that panel of Suicide on the back of the motorcycle, and wondering why an immortal who wants to die anyway would bother wearing a helmet.

Oh, man, this is a comic that keeps giving. Suicide might be the best character find of 1991. Move over, Darkhawk.

Tex's Ghost Rider is my mint chocolate chip ice cream. Empty calories but oh my gosh, so good.

You've got mint chocolate chip ice cream with you?

The KZbin algorithm is going to love this video. :-( On a separate note, you prefer Danny Ketch to Blaze?

Danny Ketch is a better protagonist (he's a bland Peter Parker copy). Johnny Blaze has a cooler name, a more iconic origin, but is also unrelatable and played by Nic Cage. What I find telling is that, when they do bring Johnny Blaze back as the main Ghost Rider, they also handed him over half of the unique or new ideas Dan Ketch Ghost Rider had introduced (the penance stare, the chain, the leathers, the spikes...).

At least it’s worth a laugh. That’s got to count for something.

That opening with him throwing his gun is gold. Imagine if Peter Parker's origin was he tried to kill himself and then he melodramatically threw the gun away and it accidentally shot Uncle Ben.

@@SonofNimrodIdiot Is this actually depicted as Mephisto in the issue or is it a later retcon to try and combine the various Devils in Marvel?
@SonofNimrodIdiotАй бұрын
Yep, he's referred to as Mephisto in the issue itself.
