So the way players are supposed to do that stairwell stage is... - Get the Ghost Armor to have a total of 15 hitpoints instead of 9. - Get as many Baits as possible. - Get the extremely expensive sound generator which causes the ghosts to move slower - Gain extra health by trial and error from the doors That will keep your kids busy.

Atomic Robo Tesla It's underflow because you reduce the number in the memory slot that stores your HP below 0.And since this is an 8-bit system there are no negative numbers "usually" on these kinds of memory addresses, thus subtracting 1 from 0 results in the counter underflowing the minimum into the next nearest number it can store, which is 255.

I had ghostbusters for Atari computers (400 and 800) back in the 80s, the thing that made me realize the game was haunted was that it actually remembered my previous score even after turning the machine off. The Disk had write protect tab in it and the drive didn't appear to save the score to the disk because the disk wouldn't run at the end of the game. It had to be writing the score to the disk but I couldn't figure out how or when they did it.

As I recall the bizarre color choices were due to this game being originally a C64 game and they just did a pretty direct port of the palette (even though the NES pallette is slighty better then the C64 pallette)

I used to play this as a kid, I managed to get past the staircase normally a bunch of times... "conglaturations" on finally getting the glitch to work!!! This one goes to James: When u get to the top of the building, do this: stay at the bottom of the screen, go down to the second screen where u can see Stay Puff. Then, press UP on the control pad and shoot. As soon as the beam hits the boss, repeat the process: press DOWN on the control pad to go back to Stay Puff screen, then press UP again, shoot, hit boss... rinse and repeat till the boss is done. Don't forget to mention my name when u decide to make a video showing that it works! ;) Thanks for everything and PLEASE, keep up the great work!

Don't know if you guys know it, but in the battle with Gozer you can shoot Stay-Puft to knock him down the building some. He keeps coming back up, but it lets you fight Gozer without being so rushed. When I was a kid, I beat this game with the help of a Game Genie for the stairway part.

Totally agree. Most of the things they say in this video are wrong about this game were addressed and changed in the SMS version. It even has a saving system where after you lose you can restart with the money you made in the previous play, making subsequent tries progressively easier. Even James said that version is significantly better in the Nerd video.

If you watch the car driving down the road, it looks to be covering about 30 meters per second. If you do the math, that works out to 98.4 ft/s, which is about 67 mph. In case you were wondering.
