I just picked up an E2 gold type 12 from an older lady that had it for $100. She thought it was completely trashed and it quit running good given age. But i had a feeling the pump assembly was clear full. Sure enough, drywall dust caked up in the pump and even had a broken off capacitor on the control board. Relatively easy fix for me and i got a killer vacuum out of it. I questioned if she was sure that's all she wanted for it but she was insistent i took it. Mine is the version one gold that has the gold stripe decals like the original e series so it also doesn't have the internal sound deadening foam. Everything was in pretty good shape so pretty minimal work. 😎

That is the best and strongest vacuum I have ever used. I have a miele as well and it's a good backup, but when it comes to suction there is no comparison,, Mine is over 15 years old and as strong as the day I bought it. also, the dust is absorbed in the water and no dust blows anywhere

That's interesting to hear you say this Milele has about 40% more power when tested at the end of the hose. Not all of them were made to do carpet so depending on the model you might have a hard floor area rug machine. That style mission does not clean well on carpet. Filtration is also much better on a lot of other vacuums. Turns out water is a poor filtration medium in this rainbow machine relies heavily on its exhaust filter.
@Hardin918 күн бұрын
@@PerformanceReviews You're saying water filtration is a poor method of filtration while a DRY filtration system SPEWS GUNK BACK INTO THE AIR, I'm confused, I have NEVER EVER heard of water filtration SPEWING stuff back into the air. I honestly don't see how it would even be possible given how water works versus how dry filtration works. If you take a Filter Queen for example which is a very high end vacuum machine in the same PRICE RANGE AS RAINBOW, when pulling those stupid cones that Filter Queen uses out to replace it with a new cone YOU ARE GETTING ALL KINDS OF GUNK SPEWED IN YOUR FACE AND IN THE AIR, show me ONE TIME EVER that has happened with a water filtration system, EVER, I'll wait! By the way I don't work for Rexair, so I'm not advocating for them or any other particular brand, if one finds Rainbow or Hyla to be overpriced, that's understandable, WHAT I DO ADVOCATE FOR IS THE WATER FILTRATION MODEL OVER THE DRY FILTRATION MODEL! PERIOD! Rainbow and Hyla are NOT the only options for GOOD Filtration on the market, Sirena is far less expensive than Rainbow and Hyla, I have seen Sirena for $700 and that brand gets good reviews, there is a Water Filtration Vacuum by Prolux out of Utah that is just over $1,000 and comes with a BETTER SHAMPOO ATTACHMENT than those of Rainbow and Hyla, and uses infrared to kill pathogens inside the water basin, and if one does not mind going bare bones, minimal attachments, there are Water Filtration Machines one can get for $500. I just have a problem with anyone saying that the DRY Filtration Model is better than the WATER Filtration Model because given the natures of how BOTH work that argument does not hold up to logical scrutiny.

So interesting to see the inside of one of these. They pop up frequently on Marketplace in my area. I always contemplate on picking one up, but the main problems I’ve come across are people running them without water or failing to clean them out properly. They got the nickname “Mud Pot” for a reason. Nearest vac repair store is 3hrs away so I can’t justify having someone else repairing such a machine lol. Neat setup with the water basin trap, but a bagged machine like my Sebo Airbelt E3 is what I need/use to keep the allergens down.

I don't get it either. It's not hard for me at all even cleaning the separator after every use... and giving the seals where dirt enters/exits into the bowl a quick wipe... I also think people will often not fill the basin with enough water. I'm always a little overkill on the water, filling it about 1/2 inch above the dome with no issues for years... I really think it's better... but don't go above that.... For me, it's easier dealing with a rainbow than it is trying to maintain a bagless vacuum
