Dewey Willard As a mixed Asian and Puerto Rican, if I dead-ass look like another Rican or such, I’d laugh because it’s the truth. But if they’re just reaching for something to bother me (ie stereotypical name, Thicc accent, etc), I’d just ignore them because giving more attention would only feed them your own insecurities and cause them to bother you more. And that guy in that clip saying that the guy looks like someone else, I don’t find that racist. If the guy looked really different, maybe the thought would come across my mind, but I’d never go “You’re racist”. Besides (IMO), it’s only racist if you’re actively harassing and discriminating them because of their race. My friends and I have made our fair share of race jokes, but it was never against someone in a vile way. Now if they told that to the player’s face and he wanted them to not say those things, that’s different. No one should be uncomfortable and everyone has their own limits however unreasonable they are. I guess it all comes down to the person whom specifically would be asked and not what the collective group thinks about it (after all, assuming that all/no Asian/Hispanic would not find this racist is in of itself racist). For me, I wouldn’t decline a nice talk to the guy based on that clip (and obviously nobody is defined by one clip even if it sums-up their personality).

I wish I saved my old phone, I had THEE BEST/MOST CRINGIEST clip ever, with Dabuz. It’s when Dabuz was around 12-13? Maybe younger, not sure (he was super tiny). It was about... 12-13 years ago now, so however old that would make him. But yeah, it was at a tournament in long island, NY. Dabuz lost the set against some newcomer on the scene, and he totally lost his shit and started throwing a temper tantrum, threw his controller, kicked over his chair, crossed his arms (lmao!) and started pouting. I remember like 2 guys coming over there and just picking him up and escorting him to the corner. This was a braw tournament by the way, and he was playing Olimar. It was my buddies first tournament, and I was recording his set at the time Dabuz lost his shit, so it was perfect timing. I don’t know why, I’ll never forget this, and I’m instantly reminded of it everytime I see Dabuz.

@takehirotaniguchi62715 жыл бұрын
@Jt Money Naw man he still made it about himself. After realizing what he has done, he should have continue'd commentating until the end of the match. If another commentator is being lame by not commentating then carry on until the match is done and then confront the person about it if you're that insecure about it. He shouldn't have done it during the stream because it will obviously create unwated tension to the viewers. I realize commentators talk over eachother but when you have a stupid stoner that is so high and laser focused into the match that he can't focus on anything other than what he's thinking to the point where you have to bring up personal problems onto a stream, its just really unprofessional and selfish behaviour. I do acknowledge that Ryan was acting like a little bitch but im not going to be an apologist for someone who wasn't sober and couldn't handle their shit.
@cslack8135 жыл бұрын
Takehiro Taniguchi I think they were both unprofessional. They should both treat commentating like a job/responsibility. If the other guy keeps getting talked over he should just take a second and say “can I finish a sentence? Are you done?” And that would have fixed everything. Instead he gets in his feelings and butt hurt over something the other guy was stupid for but tried to fix. Something the audience doesn’t want to hear.

@@serresiete5406 Saying their both brown as a justification for why you think their both the same racist is a fairly standard definition of racist. Saying it without context sure, two brown people are brown. Two brown people there for same race? Thats racist. A Mexican person and an Indian person could both be a similiar shade of brown, but have no racial shared heritage. @emptyglass7867 my kettle is red. It boils water very quickly though. It's great for stuff like green tea because while it obviously has a regular boiling to 100°C mode like every kettle, you can also pick a specific temperature for it to heat the water up to, so for something like green tea where 100°C is _WAAAAAY_ too hot and will absolutely ruin it and make the tea incredibly bitter and nasty, you can instead use something like 75-80°C, the kind of temperature green tea is _SUPPOSED_ to be brewed at. The only issue with my kettle is that it sometimes leaks. Also it called my pot the n-word.
