GriffinRSX no, they are not the same, but they are similar. The Honey badger is to the m4 like the as-val is to an ak weapon. Both are practically based on their respective weapons and are integrally silenced. The Honey Badger is actually produced by a company called Advanced Armament Corporation, and was made as a replacement to silenced mp5s (which used to be the quietest guns), the range and bullet size of an assault rifle mixed with quieter-than-mp5 suppression and compactness makes this a viable replacement for stealthy operations. I don't know much about the as-val, but you should read up on both of them on wiki. :D

This is definitely my gun in Ghosts. It feels great in my hands. Damage isn't great, but quite good for a silencer, and the above average rate of fire is the icing on the cake. Recoil is a bit high, and I always prefer the low recoil guns, but I find it quite manageable with the grip attachment. My favorite setup for this gun is the grip and the tracker site. I don't care how nooby it makes me look, the tracker site helps tremendously for staying on target at long ranges and winning those gun fights. I can always rely on this gun when I'm not playing so great and need to have a good game to boost my moral.

Let's be honest here. The only 3 perks you need in this game are off the grid, amplify and dead silence. That is, of course, if you want avoid getting jumped on due to bad spawns every 15 seconds or want to know if people are camping in buildings.

MrGenius465 So many Perks, so few Perk Points! I really do like Quickdraw for fast ADS, and think it is great for everything besides SMG. I used it for awhile, then decided I could work around that most of the time by pre-aiming around corners and more in general... I found I am still winning gunfights without it really. It was a little tougher at first though. I had to adjust my strategy a bit. In a perfect world, I would include that and Stalker which I generally love, but never use in this game either. I wish we were all super COD players with 20 perk points to spend, so I could include others as well! Normal for me is, OFF THE GRID DEAD SILENCE AMPLIFY FOCUS READY UP

A good perk to go with Silencer is the Takedown perk, because that doesn't reveal on the enemies team were there team mate died, so if you run it with silencer they won't have a clue what's happening and you can sneak up on them.

The FAD actually has a lower 3 shot range (16 m). The recoil is moderately high, but because this gun has a balanced upward/downward kick it averages out to always bounce around the center of aim which makes it hit accurately. Also, this gun is BEAST with the burstfire attachment.

Otherwise the AK with silenced is the most seen gun for me. I agree. It's slightly OP, and aside from the M27, it's practically all i see online. It has a super fast TTK, low recoil with a grip, high damage (meaning it can be uses effectively with deadeye), decent range, a free silencer, good irons, and a small profile. With Stalker, you can outgun SMG users at close range. It isn't OP in the sense that it is better than every other gun, it's OP in the sense that it is too versatile, much like the Ripper. The K7 & VKS are noticeably weaker due to their free silencer attachments. Not the case with the Honey Badger.

The honey badger is without a doubt the best gun for free for all. The fire rate is perfect for the game mode because sometimes you can bump into an SMG in close quarters and with the right class set up u will still hold your own. It has better range then the mtar and melts the Remington and AK 12 in close and midrange gunfights. The only thing that doesn't make this the absolute best gun in the game is the fact that it's a five hit kill at long distance and the recoil can get a little bouncy when shooting at long distance where guns like the Remington and AK 12 will roast you. The grip and extended mags are a must and with the integrated silencer you have three attachments which is a huge plus. The free for all perks for the honey badger go like this: ready up, quick draw, focus, dead silence, amplify, and you have one perk slot left. I like to use gambler but you can use a lethal like c4 or semtex whatever floats your boat. Trust me I've been playing strictly with this setup for the the last 5 days and my KD jumped from a 2.4 to a 4.1. Ready up and Quickdraw on assault rifles go together like peanut butter and jelly. And I don't think I have to tell anybody about dead silence and amplify especially dead silence because if you are not at least running that you're not seriously trying to win.

When I first started playing CoD Ghosts, I read the description on the Honey Badger and I was like "Wow. An integrated suppressor. . . PERFECT!" I personally never use guns without a suppressor because 1) I hate being that one dot people see on the map when I'm shooting, especially if I'm in the enemy spawn point (which we all know in Ghosts is pretty much EVERYWHERE..haha) and 2) Since I am able to identify enemies from fair distances, the fire flashes produced when firing a weapon without a suppressor gets in the way a lot. Only thing is about this gun that turns me away is the fact that the recoil when shooting mid-long ranges determine whether I continue my streak or die flawlessly, excluding the factor of aim in which is pretty dead on. Even when I see a person camping in a corner and try to maneuver behind a corner of some sort, I find myself flying in the air in death due to the health level or hit registry? Question to all who takes the time to read this is which gun, if any, comes close or better than the Honey Badger fulfilling the needs of less recoil plus good damage (with a suppressor added) from mid to long range? -TheNyte116 (BlackNyte116)

I use Honey badger in 2 different classes, 1 with Fore Grip/Extended ammo clips and other with Fore Grip/Pier-Armoring and the last mentioned feels better because it gives more accuracy and damage than extended clip with some of these more accurate/damaged attachments.

The honeybadger is great with focus and extra attachments. Put the thermal hybrid sight, extended mags, and grip and you can't lose. Go to the usual sniper spots and tap the trigger, don't hold it down. It can take out anyone if your accurate.

what i usually use on my honey badger is a foregrip, red dot sight, and extended mags, and my perks are off the grid,agility, sleight of hand, extra attachment, and whatever perk that costs one little squad point thingy :P It is an EXTREMELY good way to fight aggressively and be stealthy at the same time

Due to the Honey Badgers great center speed, I feel obliged to use either semi-auto or burst. Although the Honey Badger has a reduction off -30% on the first shot only, it still has a good RPM and adding semi-auto takes away that benefit. That makes me think that I should only use semi-auto instead of burst only on low RPM AR's, but Drift0r suggested the semi-auto... I'm so confused.

I like running foregrip and thermal hybrid scope with quickdraw, stalker, sleight of hand, and dual mp443 grachs, c4 and nine bangs, and I find that free for all is excellent for this class, running around the edge of the map using the thermal on good viewpoints and switching back to the short range scope while I run.

The reason why the recoil feels that there is a lot is because unlike most assault rifles that just have the recoil that goes up the recoil on the Honey Bader the recoil goes in a complete circle.

This gun is so op when you learn to use it correctly. Never full auto except CQ combat. Use controlled bursts and you will have nearly no recoil at a distance and be able to drop fairly fast.

Just found an interesting anomaly. Review of the Honey Badger's iron sights in this video states that you can acquire targets at medium to long range. Then watching the ARX-160 in depth and the iron sights review for that weapon says to use optics instead for long range. But pair these two weapons side by side while ADS, you'll notice something odd. These weapons have nearly identical iron sights...

This is my most used weapon along with AK-12, they are the best 2 weapons of COD Ghosts in my opinion.

Maybe the recoil feels higher for some other reason? Maybe in this game, recoil changes while you're moving a bit? I'm not sure, but it would explain why the recoil is low under testing conditions, but higher in practice.

i like the fact that there are guns with a built in suppressor.

This gun is incredible, considering the built-in suppressor. The high center speed definitely helps with the recoil at a distance! I like the vid and keep up the good work! I also have a channel with quality Ghosts content for anyone who wants to check it out.

Dift0r! You have helped me out so much! thanks for the great episodes! Idea: Blast radius of flash bang, 9 bang and concussion, this helped out a lot since in mw3 i always ran with recon, so the biggest blast radius really helped out to tag enemies :D!
