This is also to drift0r. to me if you want to become a better player try to get around being annoyed by iron-sight that shouldn't be a reason to use an optic in my opinion. If you want to use an optic because it can zoom or has thermal that's another story. Else it's just a waste of an attachment. For the rest always good to show the iron sights in videos.

Well, in real life the mtar 21 (that's the real life version of it) is a carbine, one gun category that cod doesn't show. The mtar is the smaller version of Tar-21. What the M stands for is mini. So it's just a smaller version of an assault rifle.

It's a Mtar x95r the m stands for micro not mini. It's still a assault rifle it just happens to be a carbine sized assault rifle. Btw the reason it's the x95r is because it's chambered in 5.45x39mm same as the aks-74 and aks-74u (also a carbine sized assault rifle) also the tar in mtar stands for Tavor assault rifle.

The Tavor is an Israeli developed weapon which replaces the m16 gradually in almost all of the IDF's combat units, it is an assault rifle in every aspect. The Tavor has a 46cm (approx 18 inches) barrel, where as the mTar (Micro tavor) is used as a special Israeli forces rifle\smg, more sutible for smg stile combat situations, and has a 33cm (approx 13 inches) barrel. I wish COD had the regular Tavor as it is one of the best new assault rifles out there, speaking from an experienced, real situation point of view..

Hi drift0r. It's realy great that you allways say what the three shot kill range is with or without the muzzle break but personaly i allways run silencer on my guns andni don't realy know what guns are best with silencer. You should do all three 3 shot kill ranges in the future that would help us stealth players alot. Thx for all the great videos btw. :)

Try using the Iron Sights while having the Tracker Sight equipped. It drastically reduces the recoil even without the Grip attachment.

For those who wonder why the iron sights are bad: Pause the video on 4:15 The entire area from the guard shack on the left all the way to the green porta-potty on the right are totally obscured from view. Any enemy that appears in that area will see you but you won't see them. And then you're dead because in this game you die in the blink of an eye the second an enemy sees you. Every time you aim down the sights - you're handicapping a percentage of your vision. Now pause the video at 6:42 and see how much of the screen you can see with the red dot sight.

I started with Black Ops2. I was getting 20k/10d to 25-30k/10d with killstreaks consistently. I then purchased blackops. I was able to QUICKLY excel at BlackOps, and it quickly became a new favorite FPS. I finally bought Ghosts off of my friend for 20 bucks a couple months ago. Ghosts was by-far the hardest FPS to get used to, comparable only to CounterStrike and CounterStrike GO. (Both were favorite games of mine before my PC broke & before I got my Ps3. Ghost took some getting used to for sure. I was able to feel like a King of the Maps in BlackOps within a week. In Ghosts, it took me that long to even figure out which guns worked for my play style. This game is for meticulous head shotters, similar to CS games. Its more challenging but more rewarding.

I think there are more "pros" playing ghost than there are in BO1 + BO2. Seems like every lobby is full of clan members and people with Mics. Since more people have Mics, it's assumable that the players with Mics take their gaming seriously. They are probably "wealthier" than those still playing BO1+2 as well, which means they probably have internet access to educate themselves on gun stats and gameplay tips. I'd have to say that BO1 is a "fun" FPS. BlackOps2 is a competitive short range spam shooter, (which is great) and Ghost is the most competitive of the three, with many long range maps & the need to understand how each gun operates at medium and long ranges (and importantly, short range, which can be hard to dial in with the available scopes & guns) I'm definitely interested in seeing what the new map pack for Ghosts brings to the table. I would love for them to introduce short bullet spamming maps like those in ghost, I think they need at least 2-3 SR maps to break up the long range maps introduced in the debut game. I was disappointed to see that the DLC gun is actually a rifle rather than a new SMG. I think they are taking care of the people that enjoy competition more than they are caring for the people that like to turn on an FPS and just shoot at targets, for fun.

Don't waste your time - I was like you but the SMGs are a wastes of time in Ghosts - you will get outgunned time and time again by the Assault Rifles - use the AK12 with silencer and extended mags - Ready up, Quickdraw, Off The Grid, Focus, Hardline

***** That's not the issue here. I use the SMG class for its mobility. so what if I get outgunned; If i'm in the superior position it really doesn't matter. Playing game modes like Domination, Blitz, or Search require a fast class for many occasions. There are also a lot of times when objectives are in close spaces meaning that SMG's are best anyways. If I was just worried about killing quickly, I'd use my MSBULLSHIT class or just camp with dual IED's and Danger Close on an SC2010. Whats a better option is to just not waste my time with this game lol!

Just picked up this particular weapon, and I freakin' love it :D I run it with suppressor and extended mags, along with dead silence, marathon and quickdraw as a kind of standard. It's tons of fun to run around and just spray people who never hear me coming, and if I need to I can rock the iron sights to some degree. At a minimum I'm good with them in close quarters and can dance at range if I need to suppress a shooter to get closer. Glad you brought this to my attention :D it's going on one of my permanent builds.

If you run the tracker sight you can flip it down and get a really solid iron sight with less recoil than you normally would.

Patrick Olson I'm actually with Drift0r on the tracker sights. They don't reduce recoil, they just bring the view back a little so it feels lesser. That and though the iron sights for it are nice, it's not worth taking up a whole attachment slot to run...especially if I really dislike how it focuses me in even more than the stock iron sights :/ I did run them for a bit, just to see, but from my point of view it's not really worth it.

I'd say the Honey Badger is this games Peacekeeper with a silencer already attached. Not to mention the Peacekeeper was basically the same design as the Honey Badger that was chambered for the P90 round (5.7x28mm) instead of the 5.56x45mm NATO standard intermediate cartridge.

I'm thinking a grip + vmr + silencer. Nice kill time with a clean short range optic, nice controllable recoil with a clean long range optic. And, with 810 rpm and a 4 shot kill to all ranges, I can silence the weapon without much penalty. With these giant maps I'll be 4 shoting pretty often anyways, even with muzzle brake, so I might as well silence.

I use suppressor rapid fire, and honestly, it is really good. Don't bother using it at long range, but at close range it absolutely melts people. I have the most success using it on maps like Tremor, Octane, Freight, Warhawk, Sovereign, Strikezone, and most of Overlord. Sleight of Hand is a must with this setup.

I believe the MTAR-X is the bullpup version of the MTAR assault rifle in Black Ops 2. I could be wrong, but a smaller weapon design can increase mobility and handling speeds if used in the correct hands

All the TAR variants are bullpup designs. The MTAR is the Micro Tavor Assault Rifle, making it a carbine. As far as I know the MTAR-X is just another variant of the MTAR.

believe it or not the mtar-x is just an mtar that has been refitted to fire 45 acp rounds (smg rounds) the bo2 mtar fires 57 mm rounds (assault rifle rounds)

The MTAR shoots the 5.56x45mm NATO standard mid size cartridge. The only guns I know that shoot the 5.7 round are the FN PS-90 and the FN FiveseveN. The fact that the MTAR-X shoots the .45 ACP round seems highly plausible to me as well as there are alot of MTAR variants in order to shoot various rounds.

I have to say that amplify and dead silence are the two most important perks in this game. With the lack of UAV in this game "soundwhoring" is more important than ever and its is more powerful than it ever has. Now of course a full surround sound headset is mandatory for this (no stereo, if it doesnt plug into the optical outlet on your xbox its not surround sound)

Actually if you google the name MTAR-X....it doesn't really exist. BUT it is kinda based on a SMG version of the MTAR-21. But it's still a SMG, it can be converted from a assault rifle into a SMG....so you're kinda wrong. The version we have in Ghosts is the SMG version pretty much

So it is the standard MTAR with a shortened barrel, which means it is an assault-rifle.

The MTAR-X is definitely my favorite gun. Although the iron sights are terrible i still do fine with muzzle brake and grip on it & maintain a 3.0 K/D. I use it almost every game in domination because it allows me to get long range kills & just run into a room or tight area and just poop on everyone.

My thoughts on the mtar is either silencer or muzzle break. NO SIGHTS because smgs are not supposed to require too much peripheral vision if you play close to the enemy. Maybe either foregrip or rapid fire

They should add a new assault rifle comparable to this gun that stays at 30-35 damage at further ranges since the sniper lines of sight are so dramatic in ghosts. Thats just an idea, but I think it'd be nice to have a all-in-one gun for this game considering the designs of the maps.

the vector has nearly the same stats on everything apart from a tiny bit less range and alot more damage

TheGamingGuy28 i disagree. the mtar has a larger mag capacity, longer range, less recoil, and most importantly higher rate of fire. since they both have the same headshot multipliers, in a perfect situation the mtar should almost always win

Well just finished my "clueless" operation as recommended by Drift0r. So now that I'm supposed to be good, I'll equip that little gem with rds and MB and own everyone on PC.
