The towns of Karvina and Orlova were all but destroyed after the land under them sank because of the mining operations taking place. It made the ground unstable so they had to move the whole towns to different spots where it was safer to live. Only one building still remains of Karvina. A leaning church that we got to explore and meet the creatures living in it.
They showed us a couple of the things they are doing to restructure the land that used to be unusable because of mining. This was a really unique tour.

We love a ghost town! We visited one in Turkey earlier this year and it was really cool to see! This place has a bit of a sadder story behind it though! Pretty crazy how much it changed and how quickly nature takes over! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, that's pretty creepy going up to the bell tower and to seeing bats at the very top of the church. Keep up the great content, you were very informative!

A whole town sinking? That is so sad, but amazing that the church survived. It looks like the being inside the mystery shack in Calico California. Definite reminder the importance of regulation for companies.

Very interesting video! Everything being crooked and off in that church really would have messed with me haha. I'm not sure what the popular tourists spots are in that area but it seems like something very fresh that most people may overlook.

Super interesting. I think these types of tours show incredible innovation -- how do you turn a place once riddled with destruction and loss into somewhere beneficial and positive? It makes me wonder how many other places around the world have gone to waste in similar fashion and whether or not they could be revived.
