I can't believe he cut the full Delahunt scene. It's literally the reason this film's called the Departed, and the scene goes so hard. This was his big mistake cut.

I love the minute and a half introduction for the seasons Leo DiCaprio sitting on a pier thinking The clip was 3 seconds long but the introduction was a minute and 45 seconds😅

You can tell how much of a perfectionist Scorsese is when his introduction to every scene is waaaay longer than any of the scenes. I mean, he really could have kept all of these scenes in the film, it would only have added like 1 minute to the film! 😂😂

In my personal opinion these deleted scenes are of no importance,had these scenes been added in the final cut would have been just like adding extra unnecessary minutes to the running time of The Departed" a modern day masterpiece
