I thought the same thing. I realize now that I want to know more about his dad, after watching the film 3,000 times.

I can't believe he cut the full Delahunt scene. It's literally the reason this film's called the Departed, and the scene goes so hard. This was his big mistake cut.

You can tell how much of a perfectionist Scorsese is when his introduction to every scene is waaaay longer than any of the scenes. I mean, he really could have kept all of these scenes in the film, it would only have added like 1 minute to the film! 😂😂

Well, it was Oswald's..probably James Earl Ray's. Yeah, it is. _The_ sniper rifle bullet.

there may be one edit at 6:11 , shortened scene, havent spotted any others , but could be very small clips edited out.

He totally cut the scene that drops the TITLE of the film! It's a great scene, what was he thinking?! 🤣🤣
