Thanks you answered so many questions in one clip. The Nobell gundam i asked you about on Insta, turned out to be a Stickler (cant find but good to know), the Turn A is on my list, didnt realise the SHStudio Guncannon used the OYW frame, ill skip that until it pops back to regular price. Picking up the madworks zeta as we speak (have the wing gundam in the backlog)- fingers crossed on the shrinkage.

The Turn A and 00 Quan [t] had me wishing I could get into resin kits, that quality from the company sounds incredible. The pre cut masking tape seems to be a growing thing as I have been seeing SD kits getting the same pre cut tape kits more and more lately.

I have both the EVO Ez8 and GM Spartan conversions. Both are beautiful kit. IDK if I like the Evo Ez8 or the Old AKO Ez8 conversion more. I want that Turn A. It looks so nice.

All these kits look really tantalizing, I wish I could spend all that time and money upgrading with resin kits. I started to paint (almost) all my kits too so it takes ages just to get the basic kit done. So far I only bought one resin kit (SH Studios) for the old PG Wing to ver.ka conversion. It's just a couple of large pieces so I hope I'll manage to build it properly...

I remember resin conversion kits in the 90's, for the aircraft and tanks I was building at the time. What an effin' nightmare those were. The only thing more pain in the ass are photoetched parts.

I have the Madworks Zeta conversion. The casting is excellent overall. But I have 2 issues on mine. The upper blue chest piece, just behind the cockpit, is very thin and cracked on the right side of the middle hump. And second. the large side armors for the calves suffer from shrinkage. It's slight but enough that it won't fit correctly, particularly around the side thruster/exhaust grills. Everything else fit really well, and needs minimal clean up. Anyway, looking forward to upcoming build videos.

What is the deal with resin kits? Why do people prefer them over the official plastic ones?

They’re often made for mobile suits that don’t have official kits. Otherwise, they often offer alternate detailing, proportions, etc. that some modelers might prefer.

I've heard resin is toxic. Is there special precautions you need to take when building a resin kit?

Yes, resin DUST is incredibly toxic, so youll want to ideally wetsand and wear a fine particulate mask when working with it when sanding and scribing parts. Once you're finished with the initial build prep, youll be fine. Its really the dust you want to avoid.
