GI JOE CLASSIFIED SERIES SHOCKWAVE REVIEW

Join me in cracking open the new G.I. Joe Classified Series Jason "Shockwave" Faria figure. Besides my review, I also decided to do a comparison to the 2009 'Shockblast' edition of this classic character.

Looks good to me. The darker shade of blue is a much better choice and his sculpt look very good. Glad they gave him a shield , the knives are good and the baton is an excellent edition. Don’t like the guns and agree with you about them not having to be the holstered weapons. Should’ve been else and a better large weapon like a shotgun or something. Also a stun gun / cattle prod and a pair and handcuffs would’ve been great. Last but not least which no one mentions . They mixed his box art with helix . He’s hanging down by the river and she’s in the city with a swat van behind her ? Cmon !

Great stuff, Brother! I couldn't agree more - The cost doesn't reflect the loadout. I shouldn't have to look at the secondary market in order to get a load out that makes sense.

THANK YOU! It's just half assed accessorising. Like, you don't have to be a toy designer to have an idea that SWAT are generally armed to the teeth. Holstered machine pistols do not make sense to me... I know, I know, it's just a toy (had to get this in here in case someone reads this and decides to tell me the obvious).

I canceled mine. I saw he came with those crapy little sub guns that barely fit in his hands and those bloody legs from beach head that don't display worth shit, cause they ruin ankle articulation. Plus the arm brace for the shield is glued in place so he cant use the bloody noth in the shield meant for using a pistol or small sub gun. If I do pick him up I'll be waiting to see if he hits a clearance price I like cause for damn sure if I do Ill be equipping him with valaverse weapons (something I'm doing farc to often on my classified figures) and looking for options to mod out those bloody feet.

Yep smart move. Wait until that price drops, because again, Hasbro also dropped the ball somewhat on the accessory front and articulation as you pointed out. He defenitely looks better with an SMG or shotgun.

They may include the gas mask with the potential Night force version I guess. But I would have preferred one pistol and something like an MP7 with him or even a less lethal launcher or a shotgun. as well as the mount on the shield that rotates for left or right handed use too. But I likely make do with lending him a gun from the Vipers 3 pack that is good enough too. & I guess he can have Hawk's launcher too.

That's true about the gas mask. One pistol, one SMG, some cuffs and a door breach would have been how I would have done it. I think Gridiron may come to the rescue with a loadout eventually.
