THAT closing credit tune is pure magic. It instantly puts a smile on my face and gets me back to that wonderful time where G.I. Joe, Transformers, Real Ghostbusters and Masters of the Universe played back to back EVERY day! I'm not sad because it's over. I'm glad because I lived it :)

Yeah me too and they don't make cartoons as they used to be sadly. I wished I grew up in the 1980 and 1990 to watch these amazing cartoons when they showed up on television. Gi Joe is like my second favorite cartoon show up to date only with number 1 being the X men the animated series of 1992. It was honestly really close lol.
@DonnieDarko13 жыл бұрын
Lol, same here. But for whatever reason from the 0:26 part made me feel like while the episode came to an end for the day, it somehow signified that the greater battle was yet to be completed, mission wasn't over just yet that now I had a part, now I had to pick up the mantle where they left off, each of us had to do our little part somehow to ensure success only if we remained committed. Lol, all this going threw my mind while waiting to be picked up as a tiny kid from Cardinal Spellman. God, they really don't make em like they used to. It was just a cartoon, albeit a really good propaganda but it really left an impact on me till now, for a lot of us. I think that emotional residue molded a lot of us well into our adulthood, maybe partially explaining our motivations and life goals, what's shaped our morality, our sense of justice and possibly for the few of us, causing some turmoil grappling with the contradictions and inconsistencies that will be soon faced into adulthood as informed citizens learning of history and where we may have fallen short of those values.

I haven’t seen too many musicians chime in, the drum beat on the closing credits is so cheesy but yet it’s iconic at least representative of the era, it still makes me laugh to this day. And to whoever said that they emulated the style of closing credits from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s ya I think you’re right, I’d be inclined to agree at least.

@jedijones10 жыл бұрын
@David315842 Well they didn't use the classic Superman theme in Man of Steel either, so I think it's just a director's choice rather than a problem with the rights. Also since Hasbro was able to use the music on the cartoon DVDs, rather than replace it as some music from old TV shows gets replaced on DVDs, it would seem they have the rights to it already. Also, Rob Walsh is still alive and active in music production. He wanted to get his 1980s TV music released on CD at one point but the project seems to have stalled.

@MDthornton83 Obtaining the rights may have been tricky, like the Bayformers movies, they didn't really bother using the original Transformers theme song did they? I guess it's easier just to come up with their own music then try to wrestle the musical rights from the estates of Robert J.Walsh and Johnny Douglas.
