Hello I am an aesthetician and I do own my own business now but I’m looking into starting an online boutique. So I’m just confused about the online store. What do you suggest LLC or sole?

@@jenniferllanera5668 It's state dependent, but for me if I did a sole proprietorship I would have had to file a trade name to be able to use my business name, which would have been more expensive than doing an LLC. If you use a name that contains your legal name then you don't have to file a trade name. For example if you did Jennifer's Lashes, it would be fine and you could set up a sole proprietorship for free. I would recommend getting some liability insurance, but that shouldn't be that much a month.

Pick a business name & register it w/ your state Get an Employee Identification Number (EIN) from your state Get a Sales and Tax Permit from your state Get company insurance (sole proprietor or LLC) Get a company bank account (Need all of the above before doing this step)

It's all about understanding who your target customer is. Once you are clear on that aspect you want to use influencers & run paid ads in the places your target customer "hangs out".

Michigan does not have a sellers permit. Each state is different. In Michigan I was told by our Treasury that we have to apply for our FEIN then register the business and then resellers should apply with the Michigan Department of Treasury for a use tax license. For my fellow Michgianians. :)

I'm currently on the step to looking for my vendors to start a boutique and I was looking for one here on USA and I got some doors close because some they didn't want to meet up to get business the other one say why would I want to put my tags on the wholesale clothing that I was looking to purchase, It was really disappointing I'm currently waiting for a few explamples from some vendors in Alibaba but this is how it rolls isn't easy but you always need to keep pushing for your dreams!!
