This is sooooooo TRUE! I love how you said "price what you're worth" and how you used Nasty Gal as an example! Girl, you're so right all their cheap ass clothes are from the L.A. district, and they cost $100 for a white tee they bought for $2 I am sure! Ha! and definitely true about living in L.A. compared to someone else who does not and pays for the huge shipping fees (me) .. that is why I am not as cheap as other boutiques because I pay $100's in shipping! @@JanisMollineau Hey, she recently did a new video about pricing that is also helpful. Pricing product for me was hard at first, because it takes time for people to care and it makes you feel like you have ugly clothes. lol The truth is your new and people don't know if they can trust you yet. Its easy to just lower the price to get a sale, it takes time to develop a relationship with your customers. Highly recommend to stick to the proper price point and slowly but surely your group will find you. It took a a year of me consistently showing up and it has all worked out. pricing really determines the type of following you will have too, plus branding is everything. here is my stores IG @ShopStCole

Part of me feels like I’m over charging, but I’m also strictly online, have to ship, and I include tax in the price. Shipping supplies add up fast. My profit for my first launch should be about $1,000 after buying start up supplies and putting back 20% for taxes. I plan on putting most of that back into the boutique for more inventory. Launching is tough stuff!

If you’re having a problem figuring out what name you want to use, try looking at street names, Like hollister, nice beach style clothing brand but it’s also the name of a street in California.

I am a product developer and I just paid a guy around $300 for a marketing report on Fiverr, and his numbers are way off lol, the only accurate part seems to be the estimated units sold per year. For example I have fridge/freezer (with fold out sleeping platform) specifically designed for camping in minivans and Sprinter vans. He said the manufacturing costs could be $600, and his suggested retail price was $1000 But if a rooftop camping tent for cars, jeeps ect can cost...........$3000, then what could be the manufacturing cost this product? $1500? Then how the heck could my product, which is more involved, cost only $600 to produce? So is the markup for these type of products 50%.....%100.....or what? Please give some insight I'm very confused!

@@carolmichelle6450, girl don’t give up. I don’t even have inventory. I contact the wholesale companies to see if I can use their pics. I post their pics on my Facebook group page and people order from there and then I order. I didn’t have any capital to buy a bunch of inventory. So I order as I go. The customers don’t seem to mind. And I don’t place someone’s order till they have paid. Now the lashes, cosmetics, and skincare all have to be ordered when the customer places those orders with me as well. I am actually going to open a baby/kids boutique and a man’s boutique. At that time I will most definitely need some help. Lol!! Right now I am just doing it by myself.
