We stumbled across a MASSIVE arcade in the Logan Valley Mall in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It has a TON of crane machine, driving games, retro games, lazer tag, mini golf and it even has indoor bumper cars! We didn't know this arcade existed until now!

Still makes me miss the old Nathans Food court and arcade back in New York. A room full of pinball machines and arcade games from pac man and Centipede to Ghost Busters and X-men and Avengers. Back when you could bring in $20 and have hours of fun. Oh man the vector Graphics Tank and Star Wars games too! Just never play Dragon's Lair. That sucker consumed my coins. Yea, this place needs at least 20 more actual arcade games.

To be fair it never advertised itself as a "Video Game" arcade. Though with a name like "Tilt" it ought to have at least ONE pinball machine . . . I worked at a Tilt arcade, like, 20 years ago when the mall opened here.

@@liljenborg2517 Yea, traditionally "Arcade," can mean anything from a large group of small shops to the more, well known video game arcade locations. Still I want something to put a quarter/token, into and blow monsters up with pixel blasters and swords. About the only interactive thing I participated in an Arcade was some dance dance revolution game. Scott Pilgrim I am not. At least I got to level 4.

I think it could use some indoor food options like tacos or pizza and maybe a DJ. There's a DJ at the taco Bell cantina near me and it's slammed those days.

That use to be the book store and a dollar shop. Edit so where the rue21 is. That use to be where during 90's they had the real arcade. House of the dead, lucky and wild car shooter, mortal kombat. Time crises. Like everything great, but it left and the mall was without a arcade for 15 years till tilted came around and it is just a ticket game abomination.

This place looks like the garbage "arcades" they shove in the waterparks near me to ring a few extra bucks out of patrons. And those are just as empty as this place. Meanwhile also near me is a bar with actual retro arcade machines and pinball and it is impossible to go Thurs-Sun because of how packed the place is those days. Maybe these arcades will learn that they need actual good games to draw people in and not just trash claw and chance games.

Dubuya Jay, I have to believe this a "moribund mall" (< 70% tenant occupancy) since video arcades of this size are NOT A MALL STAPLE ANYMORE. Also wasn't well thought "who wants those darn crane machines?" There are just TOO MANY OF THEM. Replace like 2/3 of those on the left side of the store with RETRO VIDEO MACHINES making the contrast to the newer stuff on the right side. Kneon, you should learn from one of the local YT RETAIL / DEAD MALL VIDEO explorers, since you're near Pittsburgh, in the middle of "Dead Mall Country" (NY, PA, OH, IN). Maybe Wallie or one of the others can give you pointers...

That was one of the things I noticed too. Still, it was a Sunday when it opened and just like Kneon kept saying he didn't even know it was there. If I were them, I'd stick ads to everything in town including the neighbor's pets. One good thing for them is this vid. I'm sure business will pick up soon thanks to Clownfish TV.

Those bumper cars / hovercraft things are pretty cool. Theyre quite common in the UK at seaside towns. Pretty good fun with friends, if you smashed into someone else super hard it would sometimes trigger a free round by mistake. Which I guess motivated people to be aggressive.

This arcade is really fun. I’m originally from Altoona and only moved away about a year ago for my first job out of college. It’s legitimately the best mall I’ve been in. The only knock on this arcade is that you need to pay for a pass to use everything rather than being able to just use some spare change to kill about 10 minutes. It really bums me out that malls are kinda dying out. Where are teenagers even hanging out these days if they’re not at the mall?

We also have a Tilt Studio here at Arizona Mills in Tempe, AZ. Its offerings are a little different since it used to be a Gameworks. No bumper cars, laser tag or putt putt, but it has more screen video games, pinball and a restaurant. Its competition would have to be Golfland down the freeway in Mesa, which has an arcade, 3 putt putt courses, laser tag, bumper boats and a race track. The there's water park during summer.

@@ClownfishTV At the mall in Burbank they walled it off in a clever way so that you can't easily tell the mall used to run far further down the way, but they did and now the actual walking space in the mall with shops is so tiny, and they moved the giant food court from the third floor to the first and now the third is a sitting area, probably soon to be hidden and walled too. Without foot traffic the place is doomed. That arcade is already paying at least 2 people (that I saw) to watch over a bleeding electrical bill with one little girl paying customer. Their electric bill alone will require far more customers than school days attendance will offer, let alone payroll. Here's your Netflix stock.

Neat tour. Being a child of the 80's, I submit that an arcade is supposed to be darker and smell like weed and have a LOT of way cooler games. Like Joust, Moon Patrol and DigDug. And hello? PINBALL?? Side note on the production: By increasing your video framerate, you'll lower the risk of losing subscribers to random seizures.

The only arcades I've seen recently are vintage arcades (1980s, early 1990s) paired with bars and Dave & Buster's which has some games exclusive to that chain for all I know. They had a new Star Wars arcade game (I don't know WHO made it; I could barely see anything of it and the gameplay reminded me of the old Sega Star Wars Trilogy game) when I visited a D&B for the first time about a week ago. I know that in the past, they had things like a special 8-cab linked version of Virtua Racing which I had also seen (and played; most fun I ever had with a racing game) at the old Sega Pavilion of EPCOT in the late 1990s. But yeah, pretty much vintage arcade bars and D&B are it. This bsuiness with crane machines look more like gambling to me. Crane machines are nothing special. About every Wal Mart has one of those, too!
