Mantis shrimp can see 6000x better than any human and the strikes pack the same pressure as a .22 rifle and when they punch for a brief millisecond the impact region of the strike reaches the temperature of the surface of the sun. The only reason more people aren't up in arms are because these aren't dogs and cats fighting disabled hens and eating them. Theres that innate disconnect with most animals that aren't regularly pets, which can't be stopped. People are always gonna flock to shit like this. If this were for research though I'm not sure how I would feel, rather than cheap entertainment. Would that make it any different?
