Great video. Good reminder for everyone seeing a dock and thinking, “I’ll just jump on in here.” These live-streams are really great. Thanks.
@seakid55804 жыл бұрын
the main reason the shark was there is because some other people were throwing Caracas into the water attracting small fish and big like the shark so it is sometimes safe to jump into the water at a dock just make sure no one is attracting fish

I was raised on Merritt Island, we would go down to Jupiter Inlet sometimes when I was a kid. My Dad wasn't a good fisherman, so I didn't get into it till the summer I turned 20. My husband took me deep sea fishing, one of the people saw a school of dolphin fish jumping. He hooked it and handed me the rod, literally I was hooked from then on... 💜

You're fishing off the beach/docks that used to be my backyard. What is now a vacant commercial lot on A1A was up until 3 years ago a 1950's mobile home park called Suni Sands. I parked and lived in my motorhome for 3 years just across the street from Guanabanas on A1A and those shallows where you're shark fishing were my fly fishing wading grounds. Those bull sharks are about as nasty as they come and each year I was there some lobster snorkeler would get mauled and have to be life flighted off the beach or the dive boat. I miss Jupiter and all the inshore and offshore fishing opportunities. I stayed in Hobe Sound for about a year, as well. That whole north Palm Beach and south Martin counties is a wonderful place to do anything relating to fishing, crabbing or hunting. Yeah, I miss Jupiter.

Be aware that fish can suffocate by being dragged backwards. So avoid dragging them backwards or allowing current to flow backwards across their gills
@tnglen0014 жыл бұрын
Maybe you should volunteer to lip those sharks for him.
@sebastianshunda30214 жыл бұрын
So what ur saying is fish can’t swim backwards
@michaelanderson18594 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianshunda3021 some fish can but sharks are more primitive than most bony fish. The majority of sharks like bull sharks tiger sharks blacktips need water flowing over gills in a forward motion but Bull sharks are extremely tough amd better adapted to handle very shallow poorly oxygenated and even completely fresh water. They have swum all the way up the Missisippi river to Illinois and been found 2000 miles inshore in the middle of Australia.

What conventional reel were you using for these sharks?
@fritzie19684 жыл бұрын
Yeah...a bull is without question the hardest fight in the sea. Hammers are hard from shore. Great Whites are hard in general, but tire quick. A bull will fight until it dies...much like a massive blue fin tuna....but bigger and harder. It is a damn fun fight and there is really no comparison once you are hooked. Big bait = big fish...and Josh is without question the Michael Jordan of fishing big fish.

Some places to try are the rocks at Jupter Inlet, just before the ocean. I prefer the north side, the south side has a pier and is overfished imo. Loxahatchee River and cast near docks, especially at night for snook under snook lights -my favorite way to fish-. Trolling pretty much anywhere works too.

Dude bull sharks aren't for eating, any top predatory fish have elevated mercury levels which make them inadvisable to consume. That and sharks in general just aren't very tasty to begin with, even less so the larger they get.

Thats a lot of good eating right there. Ya want big fish, helps to use a big bait. Soak the shark meat for a day in milk. Rinse. Then soak in milk for at least another day. Then rinse and prepare however you like. Use whole milk or at least 2%. The milk fat helps.
