they are not. any tipe of larva has a texture of rubber and tastes like what ever it ate. i've been in this situation and i tell you it's a last resort, no matter what you put on em. best way in my opinion is to roll em up in some greens and just get the stuff down. wait, bluegills? count me in!

I watched an episode with Les Stroud in Australia eating grubs there. He said when cooked they tasted like warm peanut butter. He couldn't get enough. I remember one year my sister-in-law made thanksgiving dinner for us. I sure could have used some Grubs then. Needless to say, that was my first and last time I've been there for Thanksgiving!

We picked the cactus fruit awhile back just like this ones. It was 112 degrees in Phx, it was pretty good but a little bigger not sweet rather like eating unsweet apples. The grubs can't do.

I grew up in Aio scorpio jungle of Panama ( Dad was a Green Beret. Ft Colby ) then mountains of California. I apreciate your calmness and teaching. Your knowlege is well apreciated. I shall follow your videos. Im in the gulf coast now Mississippi coastal reigon. I teach my daughters 10 and 8 the best i can about survival. I too have things i do here i havent found much about and have concidered making videos. For example Cat tail and Neutria soup. I like your way of teaching. I may give it a try please check it out.
