So, no one is talking yet about the cot setup. As a fellow side sleeper, I can only get about 3-4 hours of uninterrupted sleep on my current air mattress, and then I enter the “wake up every 45 minutes to toss and turn” zone. This was a big improvement over my previous minimalist setup, but now I see a glimmer of hope for something even better. How small does it pack? Did you have to sacrifice anything significant in your load out to add that?

The view point is the Vista House at Crown Point, which at the time you filmed was empty, so that's cool. You can't find a place to park during the warm summer days. Drove by it a few times this year and it's always packed. There's a cool little Italian Soda shop in the lower level. I had a bunch of those can openers from my Army days and yep, I've lost most of them. hahahaha

I'm not advocating for gopro but it seems your problem is the mic itself. I had a similar problem when I used a mic with a TRRS plug and a TRRS to TRS converter. I butchered a mic from a Scala rider and it works like a charm.

No. It's the media mod. You can't just plug a mic into GoPro. It's their shitty media mod crapping out.

@@TallManMoto What gopro are you using? My media mod works like shit in my 10 with an external mic, but it works well in my 9 and 11 (I know, I'm an accumulator). Many people reported issues with the 10 and the media mod.
