Scientists should stop telling everyone where the animals are in these videos. Every time I try to watch a video about our oceans' animals I am forced to learn that the animals are under siege & it's heartbreaking!!! Much more needs to be & must be done to preserve the creatures in our oceans & seas!!!

I believe that is in United States waters. There's also a difference between a handful of researchers going out once or twice a year to visit the same area and a few of the same mantas, and a tourist destination where the same mantas would be mobbed daily by strangers who know nothing about them. It looked to me like one particular manta was having the "touchy-feeley" interactions letting the diver ride it and collect mucus from its back. Watch a few more documentaries - if the manta doesn't want to interact with the divers it can easily get away.

There's almost no video about animals in the ocean we can watch today without finding out the creatures are endangered due to human greed & irresponsible practices. After awhile it gets depressing to watch a video about any wildlife.
