Lucas Yousif You must have a very boring life. You need to live a little and get out of your comfort zone.
@JuneK6185 жыл бұрын
Lucas Yousif You made a statement about how “disgusting” it is to feed people this way. Feeding people with the same spoon from the same platter or eating with their hands from the same platter is considered an endearing gesture built on genuine connection in most culture. It is offensive and ignorant to call such a gesture “disgusting.” So maybe next time think about your “nonsense judgement” before watching a channel that is all about bringing food and people together from different cultures. I’m sure if it was the other way around and someone thinks your way of doing things is disgusting, you’d feel offended as well. Think about that.
@JuneK6185 жыл бұрын
Lucas Yousif I’m originally from the Philippines but I grew up in NYC. I had a huge extended family back in the Philippines growing up. Filipinos are warm and inviting people. Just like the lady offering guests to try her specialty, it’s common to hand feed someone in my culture as if you want them to try something. Not necessarily hand feed the rest of their meal but just for a bite. Foreigners who doesn’t mind embracing this gesture among other things shows they know how to get along and is well loved and respected by the locals.

My uncle was one of PIA's founding flight engineers and PIA has a reputation as one of great airlines. Beirut was considered as Paris of Asia and known for its rich culture and great food. I am a great fan of Lebanon, its beautiful people, its music and superb food culture. I wish Lebanon and its people gets its glory back. This episode is greatly produced. Thanx Mark and thanx Nord!

Anyway we are all the humans and it’s good to learn from others. Thanks

@@jesusistheonlysavior3312 Don't be an idiot. Lebanese people are Arabs and the Lebanese cuisine is part of the Arab cuisine. All these foods in this video belong to Bilad Ash Sham aka the Levant. Palestine, Syria, Lebanon. These recipes are older than the state of Lebanon. Northern Lebanon used to be part of Syria and Southern Lebanon used to be part of Palestine. Even present day Jordan used to be part of Palestine. And before you start with the "Phoenicians" I will just remind you that it's simply a Greek word that translates to the Canaanites. And the Canaanites were our ancestors and they immigrated to Palestine more than 5,000 years ago from the Arab peninsula. So just stop being a hater and enjoy the video. And another reminder, Jesus A.S. was born in Palestine. And btw, all these dishes in the video which are delicious are considered appetizers in Palestine even the kibbeh or as we pronounce it kubbah. Our main meals are more outstanding like Maqlooba, Maftoul, Mansaf, Qidreh, Musakhan, Warak Dawali or Warak 3inab with Mahashee Kusa and Beitanjan, Masareen m7shee, Shish Barak, Krass iblahma, Kharoof mahshi or Suffed lamb ,many types of seafoods from Gaza , Haifa, Yafa, Akka and so many other dishes. And Knafa is originally from Palestine and then it spread out to the rest of the Levant like all the other dishes. So stop being arrogant and stay humble.

I am from Zgharta, my grandmothers do the Kebbeh shown at 8:03 (Krass or 2rass) by hand not even using a bowl. All Zghartawi women knew how to do it before, now it's counted as a form of art
