@@NWFishingSecrets might be relocating to that area next year. Coming from Northern Indiana, we have all the same freshwater fish I’ve seen you fish for so far except burbot I think. We also have a great salmon and steelhead fishery in our lakes and rivers but I’ve never had the interest in those fish. I’m all about some perch and walleye though. Do you have any good northern pike areas out there? That’s another I love to hit.

Hey man PNW born and raised here, I truly appreciate the love you bring to the area! Fishing content aside (which I love!), I truly appreciate any small segment when you talk about your sidearm. I am not a gun guy by any means and have found alternatives to the protection they bring in the woods, but I'm not so far as to be ranting against them and understand why a person goes that way. I deeply appreciate you pointing out why you carry and any demonstration of safety you include. I teach middle school and use your videos as the occasional example of something I call a "passion project", and students gain a lot not only from your intended content, but from your responsible firearm use as well. Any example of 2nd amendment rights carried out responsibly is so huge for young people. I've watched too many not to live a comment. I know this particular vid is about a year old, but hopefully the comment and my good vibes from Truckee, CA find you! Keep it up bro, your ripples are spreading wide! And because you know I must, let's go Mariners!

And I'm loving all the comments about where others live and the sizes of their perch! It is unfortunate that here in WA, our perch and crappie dont get huge. And our largemouth/smallmouth bass rarely get huge. But we make up for that by having massive salmon, steelhead, trout. Ans my personal favorite, the White Sturgeon! Plus our scenery cannot be beat. Change my mind! 🤙

Funny video ! Thanks Amazing cooking ;) The fish are European Perch (perça fluviatis) it is funny to see that you have those in the states too. We miss the bass (SM LM and peacock here in France) . Next time you could try cooking them the French way : « Goujonette de perches » From the fillet slices in two on the length axis, just a bit of wheat flounder with salt and pepper and cook it pan fried (not deep fried) in butter with just a drop of arachnid oil to prevent the butter from « blacking . this a way that respects very well the « finesse » of this high quality fish Tight lines ;) and thank you for your channel

As a speciality bullet inventor for Hunting & Wilderness Defense purposes I got to say I carry my Universal RFN Bullets in a percussion revolver or also Ruger Security Six or GP100 same 6 inch barrel model as yours. Remember the ballistic key to stopping Apex Predators like Bears in Handguns is to use an RFN Hardcast Lead Bullet. For your GP100 revolver check out Underwoods 180 grain Hardcast RFN rounds. Or Buffalo Bore equivalent. Keep on Fishing&Safe Journeys!

A trick I learned from a friend who grew up fishing for perch in the upper Midwest, is that if you start catching little ones, then move on. The smaller ones tend to school with perch of the same size, and the larger ones tend to school with larger ones. The reason they are so close to shore is because May is the spawn time for warmwater species, and they love to prowl the shallows and are super aggressive.

Fishing is one of my absolute favorite things to do and I love going on Lake Erie with my boat to catch walleye. And I see that you love the outdoors as much as I do, and have respect for the outdoors and for the animals and the fish, you might wanna leave your bobber and bait in the water a little longer. Plus perch, a really good eating and it’s good food for you.

Well, since you asked. When I'm out camping in the middle of no-where, I carry a Sig-Saurer SP2022 .40 Cal. with extra mags. A large survival knife (a tad smaller than Rambo's LoL), Pepper Spray, a powerful Flashlight and a Gerber multi-tool. That's just on my belt. If I'm in the Desert, I also have an M&P 15 AR and a Mossberg Shotgun and 4 other buddies with the same armor! Can't be too sure when the "Hills have Eyes!" But then again, most animals avoid us after we've had several Jack-n-Cokes. It's true! Love your videos!

If you are looking for fat perch try the south end of Lake Sammamish right now, they are gorging themselves on the salmon fry that are everywhere. Was out earlier this week in my Hobie and happened to look over the side and there was a school of perch slashing at the fry. Saw one chase and catch one, get it half way into his mouth only to have it manage to escape, pretty cool.
