Hi Everyone! It's been an awesome ride. We all really appreciate everyone's support. A few things: Please do not feel bad for us/me. This was an incredible journey and I think I speak for the entire team when I say I am VERY happy it happened. Instead, let's all celebrate how far we actually got. And who knows, maybe the robot sells for enough to try again? :)

Next try... aim for a more easy cheap to mass produce maintain and repair Mech. that was Prime eagle biggest flaw, that and the fact it moves are kinda slow, but all big machines stuff has that problem. I hope this isn't the End, but just a turn around in the history. P.S.: just remember to avoid Loans.

@entity-hp3xw5 жыл бұрын
Damn... Im so sorry. I am too young to have any experience with debt, but making a huge robotics company from loans was probably a struggle. One thing I can see is that you are all extremely skilled, and had a goal: to make mech fighting a real thing. Hell yeah, that would be awesome, but in the end, this happened. I hope you succeed at whatever endeavors you persue, and maybe, one day, consider picking up the subject again. Either way, good luck, and the best of wishes. Could you leave the channel up, though? I may want to see your battle with Japan again.
@nicholasshaw35765 жыл бұрын
It would be cool if the hacksmith KZbin channel were to buy this. They are working on the Power Loader from the movie Aliens. It would probably speed up the building process. (Also I am really sorry that Battle Bots didn't work out, but hopefully you can pay off the debt, and who knows maybe someday try this again). If you were to make another robot someday though (which I have no IDEA how engineering a robot works or any engineering for that matter) I would probably try to make something a little smaller, and faster. But you are an inspiration to people who have always wanted to see bots fight each other.

The problem with your comparison is that two megabots fighting like battlebots would result in millions of dollars of repairs. Also it would endager the pilots. So the only solution is to have damage markers or fake armor and at least the direct contact carefully planned to avoid injury and real damage. This would make it imho not as interesting as battlebots, but it might still be really cool.

I think you guys did a tremendous job and it's nothing short of purely amazing that you were able to hang in there as long as you did, Matt. I really look forward to seeing what you all manage to do with the vision and drive you have. I just hope the financial backlash from all of this does not end up crippling you or anyone else. Good luck! P. S. Think of *constructive* applications vice *destructive* ones, i.e. logistics loaders or building construction.

It was a hell of a good go. You certainly captured my imagination, and the concept was taken farther than it ever has been taken before.

I not usally write comments but..................damn , guys , i knew about iron glory back in thenth or eleventh grade of high school............im on my fourth year of collegue now, and knowing someone out there was making a gigant robot give me hope that i too , someday ,could make something amazing like that if i word hard enough . This try may have ended , but i know you will eventually go back to this and will make it big ...........its just need some time. And even if not , you already give amazing inspiration to people all over the world (myself , a peruvian ,included) , lots of good vibes for everyone in Megabots and hope you dont let you dreams die...............because you inspire me to follow mine.

Loved following you and the fight was cool. Sucks to end this chapter like this but don't let it get you too down. The next big thing might be the one that takes off. Best of luck to you!

Don't be down on yourself. You brought together groups of engineers, programmers, and dreamers to build something so unique. You inspired millions to go into STEM. It was artistic works like this that inspired me to go into computer programming and become the programmer that I am, today.

Thank you for showing us a vision of the future! You guys made it real. One day, any mech pilot worth their salt will have a vintage MegaBots patch on their jacket. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks for making the world's first giant fighting robot. Hopefully you'll get another chance to do this again in a few years.

It may not have been the most spectacular robot fight in history but is sure was the first one. I am sorry that things took that turn and financial problems kicked in. Personally I was hyped to see the fight and I was not disappointed. I really hope that you get a better chance with your next endeavor. One thing I have to say to you. Don't listen to haters. You have made 2 awesome robots and the day of the duel against Kuratas history was made!!! Things will eventually turn for the better. Be safe.

I hadn't realised how long it had been since this all started, its sad that you have to shutdown due to financial issues but it does happen and glad you lasted it out this long. You and your team along with anyone that helped did great, problem is people aren't actually ready for robot stuff eg. Mech's, exosuits so on....

Hey, guys, you are awesome, Eagle Prime is awesome! You inspire me (I'm sure - not only me) as awesome engineers, solving great challenges at mechanics, software. I was one of that people, for whom that fight was the event of the year. Your robot is a really impressive achievement. I think that was a great experience, and I wish you good luck!

Sorry to hear that. Honestly I'm surprised you got it this far and kudos for that. Hopefully this won't end, I want to see giant robots! Maybe eventually a scorpion and humanoid robot duking it out!
