Incredibly bad luck there. Beautiful ship. I only hope it isn't too too expensive to make good. Thanks for posting! Impressive indeed. 🌟👍

Should get a Solo adjustable pitch for it. Then it would only be new blades required for the prop. Sorry to see this.. I’d make a joke but it’s not necessary…

I deal with GA aircraft and the side loads are the most critical for pilots when in a cross wind or ground loop situation. When ever you are checking to see if you have the correct repair, take twice the weight of the aircraft and apply that load to the slip of the gear. This will be a good indication of the strength of the gear. After that, the tire will skid and the load will decrease.

Wow Brent sorry to see that. Easy fix though , I guess the strut didn't lock . Maybe lack of air pressure or add some lube at the joint . Hopefully the props ok .

@@tweed252 sadly the $200 prop broke. The down lock broke the last time it ground looped. I fixed it with carbon tow...it disnt hold up to the sideload so it broke again. Ive re-fixed it with more carbon this time. We'll see if it holds

Noooooooo! That physically hurt to watch! At least it failed at really low speed....oof, those props are NOT cheap. I mean....you could try that 5 blade Pilatus prop now....just sayin'....call it a uhhhhh Sea Fury prop, yeah, that's it! I got a really nice 80" sratchbuilt Giles G-202 from an RC buddy, and my 222 is going in that bad boy as soon as I sheet, glass, and paint it. Recommend the DuBro 100oz tank with a quad (for sport flying anyway), she's THIRSTY, as you've found out. I can fly flat out or close to it for 18 minutes with a safe reserve.

@hechtspeed10 күн бұрын
@@txkflier its not a matter of being pneunatic in this case. The side load caused the down lock to break...which is what i fixed after the ground loop colapse...aparently didnt fix well enough. Attempted a better fix this time.
