Thanks for posting this video up, it’s good to see some of the loom routing on another Giant Ebike, when you’re in the seventh level of hell during the motor reinstall! It would be great if you did a video where you real-timed the install in steps. I bet you would get a shed-load of views from people rewatching each step.

Such a pain..had to change dropper post cable housing and it’s a nightmare to get all the wires to fit.

hello.. I moved the speed sensor to the pedals to go faster and the syncdrive warning appeared on the display and the engine runs intermittently even though I put the sensor in its place. it still runs intermittently.. what can be done? Thanks!

How much does the software option cost? And are both pedal cranks right hand thread, I tried removing my right hand one and it went very tight trying to undo it. it cracked off as expected but then went tight?

$300 AUD for the software option, Going tight after cracking off may be the locktight on the threads adding some resistance. Typically The left pedal has a reverse thread and the right a normal thread

If you want to change the charging port is it almost the same process you've outlined to get at the cabling ? Or can you just unscrew the port and pull the cables out to unplug them ?

It may be possible but would likely require complete disassembly of the motor and fitment of an aftermarket motor controller

It’s a nightmare to cram all those wires back in there. I had to slightly push on the motor to get it back in. Have you ever had an issue with any wires being pinched or cable ends taking in water from being fiddled with?

It sure is a nightmare to get the wires in! No issues so far most people go with the software unlock we offer as it quick and easy so not many of these have been done.

Yeah I feel you, lucky these things are so heavy, I wanted to throw the whole bike through the window! But yeah, ensuring acceptable bend radius’s and not crushing anything is the challenge.

It is very difficult on the giant bikes, There is a lot of cables and not much space for them to fit

Hi Danial. I have a Giant Talon E+ 29 1 2021 model with Yamaha Syncdrive Core motor. I purchased a Volspeed 3 chip about a month ago and wasn't able to get around to install it until tonight. I took the covers off the motor and could only see 1 wire so I figured I'd have to drop the motor down to access the wiring harness. So I searched KZbin to find this vid. At the beginning you mention a software upgrade that basically negates the need for the chip. I like the sound of that! Could you steer me to a url that describes this process in detail and also costs and equipment needed. Thanks
