This is sad it's like the lorax Them just chopping down kauri trees Is why we only have 15% of native forest left. When native Maori made Waka canoe out of kauri they used fallen kauri trees or kauri trees that are at the end of it's life never a fresh one and before they made the Waka Maori would have a prayer to respect the tree before making anything out of it. Maori people of the land from aboriginal to Hawaiian from the native Africans to American Indians people of the land, friends to papatuanuku mother earth. we are one with our land. Pls respect and look after it.
