My thought when watching this is that Jorbs played conservatively, but actually I think he rolled the dice when appropriate and they always came up snake eyes. This was a bad beat that Jorbs very nearly escaped with absurd play. GG.

Ngl, even if I don't always watch the full game the number getting bigger for the winstreak is absolute hype. Perhaps Im too concerned over getting my Defect and Watcher to A20 - A17 and A15 currently.

loving these recent runs with more thought process using doodles for a lot of explanation about possibilities. feels like newer releases of Overexplained Runs. of course, takes longer to watch too but feels very helpful to watch these. Is it because of the epic winstreak going on?

Yeah its because of the win streak. In a prior vid talking about the 11 win streak in January, he said he tries a lot harder once he gets to 7 or 8 wins in a row. At this point he's going MAXIMUM EFFORT

Does it bother anyone else, like a lot, that Donu and Deco don't synchronize their dances at all? Like, if one danced twice as fast as the other that might look good, but it's like when your in a car at a turn and the blinker of the car in front of yours doesn't quite match up.

I get where the guy talking about warcry was talking about. Its true there are quite a few enemies that punish empty actions (time eater, gremlinboy, heart a little bit) But against the majority of the normal enemies warcry plus is only beneficial and can set up some pretty great turns like putting an defensive card on top during your enemies buff turn to prepare for there attack turn for 0 mana.
@Jorbs3 жыл бұрын
the number of things that can punish you for playing it is fairly large and includes the game's final boss. off the top of my head (almost certainly missing stuff): enemies: gremlin nob, chosen, snecko, time eater, heart boss relics: choker, snecko eye other relics: pocketwatch potions: snecko oil curses: normality, pain cards: battle trance it also isn't true that there's never a reason you wouldn't want it in other situations. f.x. max hand size is 10, and if you're at max hand size it can only draw 1 card. decks with runic pyramid which struggle to clear their hand struggle with this in particular. battle trance is of course even worse and makes it draw 0 cards. it also hides information from you until after you've played it - you still get the same total number of cards this turn, but you're selecting 5 from 6, two of which you can't see yet, and putting one on top of your deck. that is often better, but can also be worse. f.x. if the 6th card of your deck is void you're extending the depth through your deck that you can draw void from, accelerating suffering its effect - this is good if the 6th card of your deck is a demon form you desperately need to get into play, but it's important to recognize that it can also be bad. continuing on hiding information: often you want to play it at the start of your turn, which minimizes this effect, but if you're starting the turn with 10 cards in hand you probably actually want to play a card before you play warcry+, which can be difficult to do accurately when you don't know what your hand for the turn is yet. the card can definitely be good, especially given the number of powers and relics has which interact with exhausting cards, but i would fairly commonly not take it if it was offered to me in act 1 (with toxic egg to upgrade it) just because of how likely it is to end up being bad, and am obviously also regularly not taking it in more developed runs because it is already clearly bad. given all that, it's exhausting to have people confidently incorrectly state that it's always good, especially given how minutiae-laden and specific an adequate explanation of why that isn't true is. at some point comments like those exhaust the patience of myself and also a ton of my regular viewers who have already spent long enough thinking about the game to know that they're wrong and want to focus on chilling out and enjoying the run instead of spending 10 minutes listing things someone could work out by scanning through the game's wiki.
