We just bought one of these and ran into the same problem of not being able to fit the inlet hose to any of our taps. Because we were most likely to have this set up in our bathroom we decided finding an adapter for the shower hose would be the easiest and my goodness it was. Straight away we found an adapter at Wickes, by the brand Primaflow in the plumbing section. It's an angled appliance valve in the size 15mm x 3/4", it comes with a nut on the end you would attach the shower hose (don't need the nut), this size fits any standard shower hose. The end that the inlet hose fits on to was a little tricky to get on at first, the threads seemed to not match up, but with a little patience and force, they fit together perfectly (this may have just been ours). All we have to do now is unscrew our shower head and screw the inlet hose with the adapter on it and ready to go! I hope this saves some people some time and money trying to find the right one.

It’s a good little machine I’ve had it for a while I replaced it with a different model but for that amount of laundry you really need to use the high water level not medium or small I don’t even know why they put those two options on there it’s a very small washer and certainly for a duvet and two pillows shams high water level would be the best. Adding more water makes more work for the motor to work. It is like spinning an empty bucket vs spinning a bucket full of water, then wait for it to stop, then spin again. Inertia.
@petermaz7013 жыл бұрын
@@rhythmandacoustics That doesn’t apply for a washer, imagine when the agitator is trying to push the clothes back-and-forth there is more strain on the motor than with a tub full of water, buoyancy lightens the strain. The same applies to people who swim and get exercise that way the water is actually making you more buoyant and allows you to exercise as opposed to straining yourself. Why do you think seals have a hard time on land and yet swim with no problem in the ocean.
@rhythmandacoustics3 жыл бұрын

Twin Tubs seem more convenient in some situations. I'm still unsure about these shown in the video. I'd wash the duvets (relatively clean) then put them in the spin section. I'd then be able to reuse the water in the washing tub to clean my clothes. The main problem I see is the risky nature of the plumbing (or lack of it) that is left unattended. Living in an apartment with neighbours below my floor the risk is high. Good video, I do like the machine👍
@mspat81952 жыл бұрын
Reusing the rinse water to then wash the next load is an important consideration. Perhaps reusing water can be done by pouring it back into the machine from the draining container. Depending on your washing solution (natural, biodegradable), the water can be used for your gatden plants or as the wash water for cleaning your bike, car, birdbath, etc.
@juanitasullivan33726 ай бұрын
I'm currently using a double tub portable washer which is a lot of work for sure. But it also saves a lot of money from going to the laundromat. But the constant transferring from one tub to the next, draining and refilling wash and rinse water is a pain and takes forever to get a bunch of loads done. Since the wash tub is small you can only put in so much at one time. Certainly not 8 pounds of dry clothing. I recently found the machine you're showing here online and looking at getting it. I thank you for showing this set up. I like the machine but not that it takes so long to do a load and 2 rinse cycles. So I'm going to have to give this some thought or find a machine that doesn't take so much time and water to deal with.

Just letting everyone know from my experience that plastic cover in the bottom will not protect against rats. It is far too thin. I recently had my top loader regular washing machine completely destroyed after repeated attempts to patch and fix hoses, and then the rat came back and completely obliterated every hose accept for two, like Swiss cheese! Some sections completely gone, they must have had a craving for thick gauge industrial rubber 🤷♂️. Probably will have spent $180 in replacement parts (fixing it myself). What I did is make half inch wood panels to go all around the bottom of the washer and secured them tight. I also covered up every nook and cranny that was an opening bigger than a dime as rats can fit through anything the size of their head. Then I will also be buying stainless steel sheathing that slips over the hose coming out of the back of the washer to exhaust the rinse water as they don’t chew through metal mostly. Be prepared and protect your appliances! In my case the rats were after water in the desert environment I live in, so they were after the water in the hoses and would do anything to get it. Take my warning and protect your appliances! Haha

I have the same issue. The hose that comes with the machine isn't compatible with my bathroom faucet, so I bought a small snap fitting adapter and a coupler from Home Depot. It still didn't work AND the setup leaked between the coupler and hose. So, I bought a stainless steel hose, also from Home Depot. It still leaked, so I tried to contact Costway but it's impossible to reach their customer svc dept by phone. They got back to me only after I filed a BBB report & I'm still waiting to get this resolved. After all the money I put into this machine, it shouldn't be such a hassle to use. I did two loads of wash this afternoon by "pailing in" water by using a pot from my kitchen. It worked but this was such a hassle. I had to babysit the machine for most of each cycle. The drainage hose leaked after I started to put everything away. Am I supposed to hang it up at a certain level? Maybe I didn't set it up high enough? If all else fails I'll purchase some plumber's tape. Here are the links to the extra equipment I bought from Home Depot if that will help you: www.homedepot.com/p/NEOPERL-Brass-Small-Snap-Fitting-Adapter-97116-05/203673037 www.homedepot.com/p/NEOPERL-3-4-in-Solid-Brass-Small-Snap-Coupler-97259-05/205379585 www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-4-in-x-3-4-in-x-96-in-Stainless-Steel-Washing-Machine-Hose-7243-96-34-1-EB/205854150

My dad's prob never gonna lemme have one of these, too many washers in the garage and not enough space... but psshh, the garage does have a lotta unused trash that needs clearing out, I've wanted one of these things since 2013 but back then they were only available in Japan/US, I was originally gonna get the HLP21N but that's discontinued now so I'm prob gonna replace it with this one if my stubborn dad allows me to...

This is just the wash tub/spinner combo instead of separate wash tub and spin tub separate. If you have a twin bath put it in the tub and connect an adapter to your shower head water pipe so that you can connect t a length of garden hose from the adapter a d not have to keep it under the shower head to fill with a pail. I have it at the end of my tub bath and just direct the water flow through the garden hose length. To follow the tin when needed. It cuts down on Paul filling a d dumping. I also made a wood frame around the top area above the tub, cut PVC pipe 2 sit he short length across so that you can hang your clothes after spinning to dry. In order to reduce wear on clothes make certain they can flow while the wub swirls otherwise they will become one big knot and RIP ur clothes.

If you're here doing research for purchasing one of these, I totally recommend it. But what I wanted to say is, it will be of benefit to keep it on the styrofoam base it comes with. This seems to attenuate to vibrations and likelihood for it sliding, during harder spin cycles when there are heavier loads or fabrics being spun. You DON'T need to empty the lint filter after each and every wash. But you do want to keep an eye on the water filter every month at the fill site, if you are serviced with hard water.

Hook the drainage pipe around the bottom of the tap. that's what I always do. Drains straight into the sink no problem.

I really enjoyed your video. Your voice is clear and calm. You get right to the information and I was able to understand how to use the washer. I think I'm gonna try and add some more money to my Portable Washing Machine Budget so I can get this one. I'd rather not have to move the clothes from one barrel to another. So how can you wash with warm water and rinse with cold if its attached to the sink faucet?
@ibaisaic4 жыл бұрын
If your faucet is a mixer type, then turn the tap to cold after the washer has filled up for the first time.
@shawndavis92214 жыл бұрын
@@ibaisaic So, have the cold and hot on at the beginning when filling up...then change to just cold so that when clothes rinse the cold water will flow? Am I understanding that correctly? And thank you so much for responding to me.

Great video! I’ve had such a tough time finding the right adapter for water so I have fill it up by hand. Do you have timing of the two rinses? It would help me tremendously since my washer shuts down when I don’t put enough water and forces me to start all over again….

The hose adapter is a "3/4in. male Garden hose thread" to the hose X what ever your supply side needs.

Thanks so much for this video! I am having the same issue as my tap does not have any threads either. I was trying to look for the video where you figured it out under the sink but haven't found it. Any other suggestions on how I can further connect it? thx

I have a similar one, a Kuppet. In the end I got a generic dishwasher/washing machine inlet hose from Amazon and then a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer from an irrigation supply bits on Ebay and attached to my shower hose. Shower hoses are 1/2 and standard washing machine hoses are 3/4.
