Nova is the kind of roommate you only see sporadically because every once in a while she disappears on a lengthy work trip with no warning, but she still pays rent on time. She's guarded but still polite. You feel as if she's treating the apartment more as a safe house than as a home, which is a weird feeling, because you're not in the spy business and wouldn't know anything about that.

I think Matt would be S tier. He's a very good judge of character, and he wasn't wrong about Tychus and Tosh. Yes, he judged him as "convict" when Jim was basically every bit Tychus' equal in their outlaw statuses, but he correctly predicted that Tychus was hiding things, had ulterior motives, etc. As for Tosh - again, correct prediction from Matt, he knew Tosh was a bad influence, and he is indeed. He pushes Raynor toward revenge, which Matt has to pull him back from for his own good. Also, every time Matt has been harsh with Jim, judging him or nagging him - it was for his own good. He's a good long term friend who's not afraid to tell you when you're slipping from who you are. He'd absolutely pay on time, and might even be a pleasant conversation partner, as long as you're talking about important things. He has a bit of a gambling problem and attracts crazy chicks - but hey, that's not necessarily bad. You'll have poker night every friday and may end up finding new friends or dates. He's never gone into debt as a result of his gambling, so he'd also pay his bills on time. Mira would probably drop by to visit, but he'll always tell you to let her know he's not at home. I imagine a roommate situation with him would be him laying low and away from Mira to get a break from her.

Also don't forget that out of all the primal zerg, Brakk has the most eilte units within his pack - even plenty of ultra's, meaning he must see relatively eye to eye with his pack members to the point that he's willing to share essence with them, even if it comes at the cost of his own strength (He's the only pack leader who isn't a boss fight, after all)

I'd put Mengsk into D tier because while he isn't the WORST he'd be finding ways to manipulate you into doing his chores for him and/or covering for him in other ways, not enough to be F tier but enough to be noticable and annoying but you can't really get actively mad at him cause he *always* has a "reason" but if things ever truly go south, a big rent hike or a disaster, you know he's going to leave you high and dry and act self-righteous about it, leaving you to deal with it and suffer the consequences alone.

I think the postgame story Evolutions would affect a few of the folk here, Namely Zagara and Abathur. She picked up gardening as a hobby and Abathur is a bit of a scheemer with a brood mother that you aren’t sure is a GF or just an associate of Abathur. As for the Overmind he wouldn’t be the roomate, he’d be the room, plus maybe he could have a special made Zerg to do all the chores. For the Protoss, at least with the ones that wouldn’t make you do all the chores, you’d be the only doing the dishes since you’re the only one making any dirty dishes. Except maybe Razhigal. Valarian meanwhile would also constantly be trying not to make the mistakes of his father.

Raszagal should be bumped up to S tier. Aside from having basically no downsides, Zeratul, might come to visit, and he's a pretty cool guy, has stories about space travel that would blow your mind. Plus in the mission where you fight against her, you see her city is powered by a billion pylons. No power bill and great connectivity.

my 2-cents on these characters Artanis = Normal College dude that gets along with alot of people, some not but very few Stukov = Drunk Uncle that is savvy when sober Abathur = Same as Grant's view but incredibly messy with the body parts, his room would be a Biohazard Aldaris = Incredibly Systematic, might as well just be the Landlord Mengsk = Classy, Dresses well but kind of a jerk, reeks of Cigar though Alarak = the guy who owns a Bong attached to a leaf blower Amon = still thinks he live in the place despite being kicked out years ago. Brakk = Sells BBQ for a living, and is part of a Motorcycle group that only rides Cruisers. Dehaka = the guy behind 7/11 (or the gas station) Kerrigan = Emo girl who still believes it's 2007 and goes through trends, still has some teenage angst. DuGalle = competes with Aldaris when it comes to being Neat and Tidy, would likely get angry when a pencil isn't where they remembered it to be. Duke = that neighbor whose house is always in renovation, really loves Guns N Roses, but atleast does things in time. EDIT: I agree that Raszagal seems like she'd be the kindly old granny character who wants the best for everyone, but I also think that when you consider what Kerrigan was able to put her and Zera through in the Brood War, she's _extremely_ gullible. With her as a roommate you'd be having to help her solve her way out of debt from being the victim of EVERY SINGLE ridiculous internet scam you've ever seen.

The info we do have to go off is that Kerrigan never demonstrated that kind of power before, and... never does anything like it again. In the entire franchise. @@AresKusa BW _does_ give us Dark Archons though, and QoB Kerrigan _is_ one of the most powerful psionics _period_ not just "for a terran". Sure it would be reasonable to assume Mind Control belongs to a different subset of abilities given how much emphasis they placed on DTs being special for killing Cerebrates and the Overmind. But we are shown that the ability exists in principle, that it can be used with little practical training (DAs canonically don't live long enough to practice) and that the Nerazim are very much afraid of its power. So based on the overall scarcity of lore the issue isn't really that Raszagal was controlled by Kerrigan, but rather that no one noticed until it was way too late. Especially because I _just_ explained the Nerazim _know about mind control powers_ and _ACTUALLY USE THEM TO FIGHT ALDARIS!_ Seriously, did none of those Dark Archons "sense a disturbance in the force" even if Kerrigan used a different mind control ability? They're like, the _second_ strongest psionics active at the time.

Nova's a great roommate, I'd put her in A tier because she has a high pay government job and you won't even notice she's there. She might be there, but you won't know it. That could be a downside, but what you don't know can't hurt you. She's got close work friends and know everybody by their full name (all her troops are named in co-op), and if there's ever any problem, you don't have to go through the awkward confrontation - she'll read your mind about it and then it's dealt with.

Jimmie in SC1 was good except he wasn't he's extremely amusing, very optimistic, can really put his soul into his work and he can probably clean up quite well he was in the military, after all but then he's a bloody alcoholic, he's a bit too rowdy on the edges before HotS, he's quite grudgy, he can enforce frontier justice that is only truly know to him, he has some really wacky friends that can sometimes come over and usually have police on their backs and he seems to be rather evasive with problems, so he'll sometimes just pack up and leave just to leave you to pay up('cos you're bad or something, idunno)

Zeratul is at first kind of abrasive and only reluctantly pays rent, but then his grandmother dies and he goes deep into grief, coming out almost a different, more mellow person. He is like Abathur, in that he has a hobby that he is absolutely obsessed with and probably gets a lot of Amazon deliveries. He's also a conspiracy nut and won't shut up about it.

Having Duke and Aldaris as roommates would lead to some *amusing* lessons in studying tactics, I bet. Karax would basically be the TF2 engineer meme, or Karax gaming. Now, the Raszagal/Rohana situation is a bit more complex, imo. I agree that "Raz" would be a good granny, but she'd also be the type to get easily *manipulated* into thinking that Edge of Glory sold by Sully Sillivan is truly worth the 11 bucks. (I don't even know what it's modern price would be.), or in general, just fall into thinking any TV ad-product is worthwhile to purchase. Rohana would surely be the "stuck in old times" type, but I think if given enough time, and you hanged with her, she could adapt, to appreciate -some- of the more modern settings and methods, but still clinging on to her old ways. So overall, I'd give both a B. But if their cookie-making game is strong, then immediate S-tier.

Hm. Raszagal, who has actual experience making cookies as an actual mom and the grandma-figure of her entire civilization vs Rohana, who has probably never actually made cookies, but whose nerd-mind doubtless contains millennia of the finest cookie recipes. I think Raszagal wins Round 1 of Cookie Battle, but as she becomes accustomed to actually making cookies, Rohana takes the lead.

I have to agree. Raszagal will start off strongly, but she'd probably not deviate much in terms of recipe, since her daughter/nation would not really complain about her methods, so she'd be like a consistent all-rounder, but might get tiresome in the long run. Rohana on the other hand, will definitely be lagging behind, not only because she never made for what in her view, might be "disgusting human food", but in due time, and possible knowledge of recipes, she'd not only improve, but overtake Raszagal. Plus, I think people harp a bit too much on her personality, she's essentially the granny/aunt that has been alone for ages, with nobody to talk to. I'd understand her being grumpy and clingy to the old ways, so again, if you're her roommate, and she gets to know you, she has possibility to explode to the higher tiers, with enough time. Huh, the more I think about it, the more I want a "Big Brother" show with Starcraft characters.

Hill would probably charge you for every favor that you ask of him, but would be reliable as long as you had money. He'd also charge a ton of interest if you didn't. Karass would help you out if he had the time, but he'd also be the kind of guy to accidentally hurt you while doing so, given he psi storms his own zealots in the mission. Mohandar's character is learned about more in other parts of lore, he'd be kinda like a grandpa that gives you strange advice and you would have to help around but would nonetheless be grateful for being helped. Kinda the perfect complement to Raszagal. You mixed up Niadra/Naktul for Zagara. Niadra and Naktul would probably bring their entire brood in and be a mess, but they'd also probably be wanting to help if you managed to get on their good side. Maybe their brood could live somewhere else and it'd be fine. The guy next to Mohandar is the Tal'Darim Executor Nyon, who would be an absolute religious fanatic and would probably kill you in your sleep if you said anything bad about his beliefs. Colonel Orlan would be that tech savvy idiot that you could rely on to wipe all your debt records and tax debts if you had something in return or held him at gunpoint. After all, he does have a history of being good with encryption and decryption. He'd also be really socially awkward. Oros would be a pain, that's all. He'd talk constantly about finding a way to continue the infinite cycle. Talis would the helping hand and way-too-serious kind of roommate, assuming she wasn't just being racist against you given she hates humans or anyone not Daelaam Protoss. Always asking if you need help but also probably getting upset if you don't seem to need it, or she'd just make snide and offensive remarks all the time. Kinda similar to Selendis but way less willing to give you chance. Urun would be similar to Talis but would be a lot more dynamic in his opinion if you impressed him. Could be okay, similar to Selendis.

S tier for the people who don't want a roommate at all, about C tier if you kinda want someone to socialize with.

Personally I think Mengsk would try to get you to do his chores in exchange for him paying a bigger cut on rent. Kinda like Alarak, he would think it's beneath him to do them, but opposed to him, as long as you're putting up with that he would be accommodating and diplomatic in other aspects. That or just straight up hire someone to come once a week and clean everything. He has money for that and he and god only knows why he even needs a roommate when he could afford his own apartment and not even notice the increased personal cost.

But it will cost you a lot of money and you have to had at least tried to have picked up the snake first before the contact comes right by his terminal.
