The Spanish or Kingdom of Castille never had this place until 1462 which was conquered by them, then eventually to the British in 1704 (1714) as per the treaty of Utrecht. This place is so diverse, America (And the fascist franco side of Spain) could learn from it. Many people of different nationalities in Gibraltar are happy with the way it is, they are people like you and me, trying to make a living especially in such a small land but an economy booming with its Gaming and Tourism. All I can say is, if you want to make a decision based on a specific country and its own land, decide that in the place that you live or want to live in because that will be the place your place for the rest of your life. Example: If Spain doesnt like their government, then the people of Spain have a right to change their government. If Gibraltar doesnt like their government, then the people of Gibraltar have a right to change their government. If you dont like your own government, then you and your fellow countrymen have a right to change that government. Other people's lives and land have nothing to do with yours and vice versa.
