All the guitars look Killer and NO filler... Top notch...also that neck on that 63 Firebird looked pretty thick..anyone know what the neck profile is on that model...most Firebird necks are too thin for me.

These VOS finishes on the custom shop reissues can appear a bit dull or cloudy from certain angles, but in person they're pretty amazing. They're definitely not the high-gloss glassy finishes as a modern LP Standard for example.

Are you sure that first 54 Custom is just over 7lbs? The only Les Pauls I’ve ever seen that light were chambered. It’s almost unheard of for all solid Les Pauls to come in under 8lbs, nevermind just over 7lbs. I have a couple of the Wildwood Weatherweight limited edition Les Pauls and despite the fact that all of the wood on those was specially selected (at a cost premium) for lightness they both come in at a fraction over 8lbs. Just over 8lbs I could just about believe... just over 7lbs I need to see the proof! 😋 Lovely guitars though. 😍

I don’t think Gibson makes guitars that you would want to take out to a bar and play anymore, I know if I owned one it would stay home and I’d take a cheaper one like an epiphone or something. Nice guitars either way.

How are they selling this many high end, high priced guitars? They must have millions in overhead just sitting on the floor. Most of my shops have customs from Fender and Gibson that sit for years in some cases.

Bill Hudson I would have thought people specifically go to peach guitars as they specialise in the high end guitars Of course I don’t know what type of shops you have.

I do love an SG Jr, but I cannot see how you could justify paying he Custom Shop 2× the price for the same 1× p'up screwed onto the top of a beveled cutting board glued to handle..! Edit: Just for some perspective, I did see fit to buy a Gibson SG Spesh (2×p90's in Pelham Blue) earlier this year. That was an extravagant purchase for me - my most expensive guitar. But there's a bit more to it than that Jr...an d while I did pay 3× the Epiphone price, I certainly didn't pay 2× that for Custom Shop. I would pay Custom Shop for an LP Standard....or an SG Standard...or a Vee or an " Ex"... or a 'bird - ooh yea, def a 'bird! I just think it's a lot of money for something so basic looking. I feel the same way with Telecasters...🤷♂️

Every Les Paul you unbox you always say how it's not too heavy, etc... Do most LP players really concern themselves with the weight? I never have. I always assumed it was just internet trolls who don't want to talk about the tone and throw the weight up there like it matters.

Roy Monfero or professional musicians? I couldn’t see dropping that much scratch on an instrument when you can get sweet regular Gibsons used for well under a grand. I don’t need a Mercedes either my Toyota is sweet. Or maybe I’m poor and jealous...perhaps both?

Gibson custom is the only “real” Gibson after 2010. Modern Gibson USA is meh and not worth the 2K. QC is still hit or miss. If you got the money go for it or save up for them rather then going for the mass production model.

Omg piece of garbage Gibson guitars, overpriced garbage from a crap company. There are so many better guitars for fraction of what Gibson charges that pay way better attention to detail and are built considerably better... My Prestige heritage blew the doors off my Gibson standard, my mij Tokai love rock way better than my previous custom shop
@johnblack33134 жыл бұрын
P.o.B pedals that’s your opinion, I love my Gibson and have many, they are all great. Personally I don’t like fender they feel like toys compared to a Gibson. I will buy nothing made in China for obvious reason. So why slag them off. Problem with opinions is they are like assholes everyone has one, maybe your asshole is just a bit bigger.

@@johnblack3313 Its a little bit more than just his opinion.... its more like based on fact... there is a reason why Gibson are neck deep in shit latley, its not because of opinion, its because of fact, that fact being their QC sucks big time and like Pob Pedals stated there is way better guitars out there for less money... At roughly £1000 minimum for a Gibson guitar you should not have to rummage through a pile of them and inspect every one just to find a good one... at that price you should be able to just pick one of the rack and feel safe that you are getting a good one .... sadly that is not the case.... why,.... because the reality is.... they aint what they used to be.... end of
