GIBSON LES PAUL R9 + MARSHALL ORIGIN 50 Combo- Rock Tone!!!

I just got one of these amps used and it had a Celestion g12m70 in it from a previous owner from the early 80's . The first thing I did was take out ALL the Chinese preamp tube and install all RCA black plate tubes. I put in V1 a 12AY7. In V2 a 5751 and for the phase inverter a 12AX7 long black plate which is very strong. I would put this amp against ANY 1987X OR 1959 MARSHALL!!! I have owned both and it sounds better, and is more versatile especially with the foot switchable boost and FX loop. I plan one day to maybe put a vintage Greenback speaker in it since I will never play it cranked to 10 at the 50 power setting. Actually in the low watt (5 watt) setting turned up to 5 to around 7 on the volume sounds great! It is a loud amp though, pure Marshall roar! This amp nails AC/DC or any vintage rock tones like Aerosmith all day long!

Thanks, Rick! I love LP Customs, but never had one. Almost got a 78, but it had a lot of mods, extra switch, so I decided to not move on it. Maybe someday... Congrats for your guitar!

Marshall orign ou Peavey classic 30 ? Qual é melhor?

O Classic 30 tem um timbre mais abrangente, e tem dois canais, clean e drive. O Origin é mais limitado em questão de timbres, mas tem aquele drive de Marshall que impressiona.

Hi, I have a couple questions about the origin amp. Since it doesn’t have a stand by how do you turn it on? Do you need to have a speaker plug if you record directly to an interface? If you run your pedals by the front of the amp can you damage the fx loop? How do you adjust the bias for that? Thank you.

Hi Mr Ramon! Amplifiers without standby switch are way common. You turn it on just using the power on switch. You can use the direct out without speaker. You just need to unplug it. Pedals can run directly by the input jack. It has no influence on fx loop. Regarding bias adjustment, I don’t have information about it. I didnt open the amp to change tubes yet.
