Way back in junior high and high school (mid to late 70s), I was really into woodworking. I took every class available plus a semester of “individual study.” One polishing trick, our ship teacher taught me, was after polishing thru finer and finer grits of sandpaper, use a dry piece of the brown paper from a grocery bag for the final buff. If you think about it, paper is made from wood pulp and those old school brown paper grocery bags have just a tiny amount of abrasion to them. I’ve been doing it ever since. Works great.

Saw this done on Dan Steinhardt's acoustic build from That Pedal Show, "Dan's Acoustic Guitar Build Part 4/5 With Jonny Kinkead" which starts right around the 40 minute mark or so. Jonny had some interesting insights to this method. Another great video, Scotty!! Keep em coming!! 🤠

Thanks for another great video. I have never tried French Polish but I can see the value pf it. Looks like something great to use for small repairs when you don't want to use an airbrush.

@@harpethguitar Thanks my friend for this incredible link. I am retired and do some free repairs for kids just to keep them playing and some paid repairs for others just to break even. This is my hobby and passion. I will join this right away.
