I know I'm watching a KZbin processed video, but that guitar sounds amazing to me. I almost have a tear in my eye listening to it. Sound is most important to me over aesthetics however this guitar is perfect looking to me as well. Minimalistic and mean looking with tons of class. This is beautiful to me. And yes I agree, the right P90 at the neck is pure magic.

What a beast. Love that P90 tone. It also goes with that room very well.

Dude, this batfish came straight out of my brain! Mine would probably be pink with cream pickups, but basically the same. LP JRs, Teles, and P90s are also my three favorite guitar “items”. Love the batfish name origin, too!

Looks/sounds like a badass guitar. Only thing I would change would be for it to have a gloss finish on the body (keep satin on the neck). Keeping the same name-scheme, your mach II could be "The Platypus."

You should make one with the cutaway pointy or sharp.

Fender made an Aerodyne Telecaster. Has a P90 in neck. I bought 2, plays like a dream and sounds great. Also has binding.

I designed something very similar 25 years ago and had a prototype built by an accommodating builder in China. I had a 3rd PU in the middle ( a single coil), a 3 way "tele" blade switch and a 3 way "Gibson" relay switch. The 3 way tele blade switch controlled to two single coils (I called this the "fender" section of my guitar") and the 3 way "Gibson" relay selected either the neck along, the neck + what ever the "fender" selection had set, or the "fender" section alone. So I could have basically any combo of the 3 PU. It was actually very versatile and worked great, but it was just too bizarre by "normal" standards to catch on.

If you had Les Paul with a Tele bridge pickup would it sound like mix of the 2 or tilted mainly to one? Cool video
@johncecilia45173 ай бұрын
Meant the tele trem also like the whole section like a tele. Not sure how you would do that on a LP with the contours curves though.

I understand you SO MUCH on this... Because I adore the Telecaster, and the P90 too ! My prefered guitar is a quite rare one “made in France” and very inspired by the Telecaster for mecanics and the electronics parts but with a body closer to the Gibson Les Paul in size (quite heavy) like this one too. Also I want to modify it soon. So I find this video very inspiring… 🤩🔥🙌 Mine has an alder body [ it's a Lâg Buxster with single coil pickups if you want to see it on web - the black/honey/ivory one ]… A lot in common with yours technically. The funny thing is that if I were to improve it to my taste, it would look even more similar : with an ash body instead of alder (but also semi-hollow) and a walnut fingerboard or something, but the maple fingerboard is already very cool. It's less “sober” visually, which I don't like as much as yours, but I'll modify it deeply to be as best as possible. Remake another body, etc. Technically, it's already very close to perfection. Yours is already perfect in my opinion, I really think so. 😎👍

Did i miss it, if i did..i apologise _ scale length -> 24,75" ? Looks really great..congrats ! It represents problably,..my fav PUp configuration also. 😊 15:30 I'd probably use a metal/wood grey pickguard, in the same design, instead of that one. And the only thing i would be very adamant on removing, which i dont like, is the tele pot plate. I much prefer the pots directly on the wood/body, and it would honor your neck-plate-less approach 😉. All in all, though, id definitely get this guitar, if i lived in the US, and was able to play it for a couple of hours, before buying it. Nice design 👍

@@DylanTalksTone Yeah lots of specs variation! But with P 90 in neck position, Tele bridge, and LP junior body pretty much in the same ballpark ( bit like a JA-90 & 52' Tele different as chalk n' cheese but would you not call both Telecasters ?) still nice build & tone👍 that's what really matters.

Peace , but , build another ? And it will not be the same No disrespect . Two pieces of wood put together can have so ,any variables Drives me nuts when any typical production run is judged by only one example And i have been buying and selling for pleasure for 4 decades . For instance I had bought a bunch of a certain model of Squier The Black and Chrome series strat . Cool bones with the black face headstock And each was remarkably different in the things that matter Frets and ends , feel of neck , and of course tone and voice of the woods Sounds like a KEEPER

As he mentions in the video, he added the extra carve to the lower horn which is a signature feature of all PRS guitars.
