This was a brilliant strategy. It may even have been the same ratio with the trumpet players. Brilliant strategy.

Good acting, but just like most movies from a book, it didn't quite follow the book.

Especially the part where God first appears to Gideon. It's so cool but it's really easy to miss-God knows I never saw it before Mike Hieser pointed it out. There are two figures (not one like is shown here where Gideon merely hears God's voice at the end) that appear to Gideon and they are both there through almost the entire encounter.

Okay - to those really looking for a serious story of Gideon - be advised this is a portrayal of the story with CHILDREN as the full cast. If you are not familiar with the story, like I was not, you too may think that Gideon was a child chosen by God to spread His message, so this is really confusing except to people who already know the story...which probably defeats it's purpose. Apparently this channel tells stories from the Bible with child actors only - kinda cute for the adults well versed in the Bible - but very confusing to others.
